I Seem to be having a serious problem

I can't seem to get out of windowed mode, I went into the config and changed it but I still cant seem to get it working, can I get some help? I just downloaded the game and I am eager to play..thanks

When I saw the title of this thread with "lootking" tagged under it, I was anticipating this to be about the /burp bug that Meestor brought to all the early-morning Trykers' attention. That created serious problems for all of us.

At any rate, the only suggestion I have for the windowed mode problem is: did you make sure that you defined your screen resolution when you checked the "fullscreen mode" box in config? I changed to fullscreen not too long ago, and forgot to pick my resolution, which caused some problems. I'm not sure if this will help you or not. Can you describe your problem in some more detail, and what you've tried so far? It may help people to help you.

if you want to play in fullscreen ingame (you cant run fullscreen before the game has loaded), then choose directX instead of auto in the configuration in the ryzom folder...

OR you can pick Opengl, then when the game loads in (it always loads in windowed mode unless you did something like maximize the window right before you enter), you open the in-game configuration, choose a resolution (doenst matter wich, because this will only be a temporary setting to force fullscreen), push apply... the game then makes it fullscreen, then you enter the resolution YOU want to play with, and hit apply... then it should work

if you see the taskbar at the bottom of the screen simply tab in and out from ryzom and it should work...

if i was you i would pick the easy one (directx), because you have to do so much more to make opengl to run, and you have to do those settings on opengl everytime the game loads...
