When I got to the mainland I was met with the usual frustration of trying to get anywhere only to be killed repeatedly by the dogs that plague Matis.
But I nuckled down and raised my melee up to around 50. Then I was able to travel a bit and my self confidence soared. My own dodge armor was protection enough so I could get to a few places and forage in peace which I did more than fight in groups. *sigh* My healing abilities did improve but I think I ended up around level 56 two handed.
Since patch 1 my confidence in my own ability to get anywhere has been tossed. A trip from Yrk to the Greenseed is a 50/50 proposition. I can handle one scowling gingo after the 'correction patches' that have gone in. But to move from the Majestic Garden to the Fleeting Garden is suicide for me.
I have been relying on my tickets to be able to harvest some. But damn... it is frustrating to log in and find a group with an opening that I simply can not reach. I have been praying for the promised reduction in predators that was promised as the second part of a new patch that was supposed to happen today.
However, we were informed that there would be no patch today. Does this mean it is off? I need to know this as soon as possible so I can decide if I wish to continue logging in to continual frustration and tears or simply go away and find something to do with my time that is acutally fun.
And for those of you who are not having problems... congratulations. I am not 'uber' nor will ever be in these worlds. If there is no room for me... then so be it. But I will be sad as I found something here (community) that I have found lacking in other venues.
Sincerely and hoping not to be flamed.

No patch today?
Re: No patch today?
Who said there wasn't to be a patch today?
As for the other things, there was not supposed to be a reduction in the number of predators, but in their damage, and there has been.
Groups can, at times, be hard to find, but there is, so I hear tell, a large number of matis about to come in from the refugee islands, so, perhaps you can start getting them together to group with you and take the fight back to those gingos!

Atanna - send me a tell, I am planning on harvesting with Een near the Kami Circle. Lets see if I can help you find some safe routes around Matis.ixils wrote:When I got to the mainland I was met with the usual frustration of trying to get anywhere only to be killed repeatedly by the dogs that plague Matis.

I am Tryker, I don't mind a little teasing, about being short, But mention slavery and you might find that Atys History repeats!
I and my friends are fighting/harvesting/crafting for a united Ayts
Working together means that fear is something the kitin will learn.
Edit - I fear that if you are on a parallel path of Ayts I may not be able to help you
But I saw you post on the Apostile event - so assumed you were in the same universe.

The French and German boards, actually. Patch tomorrow (maybe), still uncertain so far.mikwana wrote:Who said there wasn't to be a patch today?

Re: No patch today?
Hmm no patch today, maybe a good thing, maybe it had some bugs that delayed it. Hopefully it will be released soon. And sometines if you ask for a team they will come and get you and take you to where they were doing battle against the mobs (Kill all the Yubos! They are spies for the Kitins I tell you!) or to where they are harvesting. If nothing else send me a tell and I am willing to try and help you get to where you are going to lvl or explore. And there are others out and about that I know are willing to help.

I found out this morning that today's patch has indeed been postponed to tomorrow due to testing. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I shall call out your name the next time I wake in Matis. While I love Thesos and am glad I made it as far as Pyr before the last calamity... I am longing for other scenery. If exploration is denied me then I do not see a long life in Atys as I had originally hoped.
While it seems that we are long lived in this world. Suicide is always an option.

Re: No patch today?
Thank you Cerest.... to know that it has only been postponed is certainly better than fearing it had been dropped.cerest wrote:I found out this morning that today's patch has indeed been postponed to tomorrow due to testing. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I must say that I will still try to not be too hopeful as being pleasantly surprised is always better than disapointment.

Re: No patch today?
If i'm going harvesting in Fleeting Garden or further south, I hang out in Avalae. Go out the west side, stay away from the road. You'll have to navigate around a canyon and you'll end up close to the road. Check your radar. There's trees across the road on a hill - a gingo hangs out to one side of it but he moves and sometimes he's not there but FOR SURE they're out on the road. Go behind the tree closest to the road and watch for an opening on your radar and then go across the road and up the hill on the other side. Ragus are at one end of the hill but you'll be far enough down it to miss the javings and them, plus the gingo.
uhhhh - my memory fails me at this point (I'm at work)... but IIRC you stay to one side of the road after the hill ... there's frippos and beetle messabs (forget their name - something with an "R") ... Anyhoo - you're past the hard part.

Re: No patch today?
Thank you for the update Cerest, I was actually wondering this myself. I'm glad to hear that the devs are not rushing the patch out and are taking the time to fully test it so that us Homins can enjoy it without any problems.cerest wrote:I found out this morning that today's patch has indeed been postponed to tomorrow due to testing. Thumbs up to them!
