I've gotta agree with Jackmor here. There is a difference between those who make complaints and move on, or even better, make complaints with suggestions for improvement, and those who consistently post the same unconsructive negatvities over and over--that is fatiguing and clogs the boards. I have no problem with constructive criticism, but constant, repetitive negativity irks me and dulls the effectiveness of these forums, which I think was vaquero's point. He was quite blunt about it, which rubs some the wrong way, but really it seems that he is trying to fight fire with fire, as the cliche goes.

Ive seen a lot of complaints that have come with suggestions -- mostly to restore feature X to what it was pre-patch. It may be unconstructive to you to read it again and again, but it isnt to nevrax or to other folks who are evaluating this game. If nevrax sees only one complaint, it isnt much of a problem, is it? If other folks using the trial see that the game is making some people unhappy, they may re-evaluate if they want to pay for the game. That's motivation to nevrax to make their customers happier, and makes it worth it to post the stuff you dont want to see. If you dont want to see it, show some self restraint and dont read it, then you wont be fatigued -- "cloging the boards" doesnt sound like an end user problem to me either.

resetting to pre-patch 1 is NOT a constructive suggestion. they can't just take all of that and undo it. asking for changes to specific problems is, and it's being done. yes, it's slow. maybe because they don't want to overdo it again. saying they're not going fast enough and that you're gonna cancel/keep your account cancelled if it doesn't happen yesterday is NOT a constructive suggestion. that's whining and it doesn't help anyone.

i think cerest has a pretty good idea of what's constructive and what's not. after all, that's her job is it not? to forward the constructive, thought out, non-retarded suggestions to the devs? i think she could use a friend with mod abilities, trolling the forums constantly, deleting all of the "i'm leaving if it's not fixed now!" posts and "omg you guys suck give me what i want now!" threads. but alas, she mentioned she wouldn't go the route of SoE...

Jenu, that was just commentary on the state of the boards, not directed at anyone. It wasn't meant to be any kind of attack. I was talking about people creating problems and provoking/counterprovoking (seems 90% of the complaints and posts now) rather than being productive, having discussion, making suggestions, making legitimate complaints, etc.

No, I dont think so. People who are playing the trial are going to base their decision on whether they enjoy the game they are playing, not on multiple posts in these forums by the same person re-hashing the same personal issues.

You make a valid point here, and it's one I've heard before; however, being an avid forum reader and poster, I find it a bit difficult not to read the redundantly negative posts when there are so many of them. You can call it lack of self-restraint, but I call it keeping informed, so that I can counter what I see as a problem. I am not going to stop reading these forums and posting my opinion; I am not going to stop trying to improve things as I see fit. I don't believe anyone should, but I do fail to see how overstated personal gripes and grudges against the patch do anyone any good.

Funny after the patch i made it to matis with a group of 7 that were all at level 60-70. People keep saying I cant get there.....o well you amy need to try..or ask for help.

Well maybe if instead of typing on the forums about how you cant get there you should try to get there. I have helped many to get to other lands and would be happy to help again. I see all these people saying they cant get anywhere but no one is asking for help.

The majority of posters in the top page of posts are the same usual 20-30 suspects. Not exactly a traffic jam.

Modding this board is surely a whole lot easier now that most of the unhappy players have moved on.
