Creature Request, Placement

Dear Nervax Developers and GM's

As a player of your fine game, I enjoy the freedom and challenges of
travel, but it has come to my attention through some serious trials
and errors that there are no actual clear paths to get between cities
that doesn't require a 'raid' force to achieve.

I love a challenge like any other player, but I also see a need where
there is a solution where a single person who enjoys to solo, should
be allowed to travel between all the races cities, or at the very
least there lands.

Every path that can be taken has a blockade of some sorts that
restricts the average person from sneaking or being creative on there
movement to get past these creatures.

We all understand that the goal to the game is to actually work
together as a well oiled machine to overcome large puzzles you put
before us.

Would it be possible for you to create a single path that extends
from each city, although a challenging one, that would allow a single
person to travel and make it from city to city alive, or maybe duo
and get there.

This would only require a small adjustment of the placement of agro
creatures and there range of agro, one adjustment that would both be
challenging but yet rewarding knowing that the player can make it
through if they understand there abilities.

We all know there are long term goals you have in mind for the game,
and for us players, that you hope will be enjoyable, which includes
full kitin attacks on each civilization, where we are required to
assist each other in defending our nations.

As players we are wanting to make this happen as much as you are, so
help us to help you.

Do NOT give us a free ride, but give us a way to achieve traveling
goals that is the happy medium of the road.

Please do not pack each area's exits with agro mobs, and do not
restrict each path that can be taken by very high level creatures and
a lot of them.

Make it a challenge, but also a possibility.

Thank you for all your efforts at making the game a 'funner' place to
play, and thank you for the consideration to our requests as players
to Ryzom.

I think that's a bad idea. I like that it's hard. Some of the funnest and most rewarding times I've had is making those trips. You are just going to have to wait till you are higher and find some people to go with. It's not that big a deal. You only have to do it ONCE and then you can buy tickets when you get there and just teleport instantly next time. It's not going to kill you to team up on that rare occasion. It's also a really nice suprise when you see other players from other races. I like that.

I hope they keep it the way it is.

Wicker,

To clerify the reason behind this post, is that it is for the CASUAL gamer, since patch 1, the community has SHRUNK and I see less people online.

With that said, it will be improbable to create a large enough force with the creatures at the power they are guarding the only passages through, to make it alive.

I have already made it to Tryker, Fyros, and I am Matis, just haven't made the Zorat trip yet.

This is for the general public, not for my personal benefit, I have more than enough to do to keep me going.

I have tested paths since patch 21, and there are 'guardians' at each path bottleneck, and these guardians are 200-250 in level and hit for 1600 + against my q50 high dodge heavy armor.

I am fine with keeping it challenging, but I was looking to just let them know that making it impossible to make it through the bottlenecks is not desireable to achieve there global goal of unification.

Last night I decided to explore and was willing to cap my DP to do it. I was not surprised that I could not get through the region of Prime Roots that connects to Fyros. I made several attempts and then decided that for my exploration DP to not be a complete waste I should at least make the run to Thesos since Dyron and the entry to PR are my only additional respawn points so far.

After 25 attempts along perhaps a half dozen possible routes, I was not able to even reach Thesos. I do not fathom why the designers feel it necessary to place aggressive creatures on or near every choke point. There are only so many bridges or canyon entry/exit points to use. They are all blocked.

I can live with needing a raid to reach other lands. Needing a raid just to get to one of the three cities in my homeland seems silly.

We are playing in a large and beautiful world. The fact that the designers have decided that I am not allowed to explore and will not be able to see most of that world unless I convince a group of powerful players to escort me is by far my biggest complaint. I could live with how difficult combat and harvesting became after patch 1 (though neither is all that bad now).

I really want to see the excessive difficulty of travel eased.

(thankfully I planned my journey for a point in my development where harvest exp is coming easily and I could work off max DP in less than 2 hours.)

erm, sidenote: the mobs position themselves
we had several server crashes recently on the german server, nothing severe, usually only a downtime of 5 minutes, but everytime we relogged the mobs were at different positions, and there wasn't much of a pattern recognizable behind it
as to your case daleknd: we made the pyr-thess run yesterday with about 5 people, clingin to the sides would never had worked, so we had our most alert melee take the point and lead us through it, first we advanced south towards the road and got a few hundred meters of way on it, till we reached a smallish palmgrove to the west with a herd of timari inside it
at that point there was no conceivable way to get further, so we travelled further to the east over the hill to the outpost hoping to have a way due sout from there, not possible either, when we returned to the street(it was night by then) it was clear from almost any aggros and we had an almost uneventful run to thesos, except for a kincher who picked us up when we were about 100 m from thesos
luckily we all had speed power and the guards dispatched of the beast =)
in conclusion, it is possible, but don't expect to always be able to go forward ;)
