Face it people. Everyone would benefit if people would see how others may take what they post. This goes to everyone. If something may come off as flaming, don't post it. It's not worth p*ss*ng someone off.

Whats even more amusing is that since I don't post my characters name in these forums many people who have recently been very bitter towards me for example, Sarthus, Zzei, Melodi (all trykers) do not realize that we have had many good conversations and in some cases even adventured together.

So jjm..If you are willing to accept my apology on that and willing to give SoR another chance. I still have the pike. If not, then best of luck in your future game, whichever one you choose.

I seriously doubt they would be so denegrating to me in the game, but out here on the forums its perfectly all right to insult and belittle people who hold contrary opinions to you

I was gunna put my profile in a sig, but I never got around to it. Now I'm kinda of glad that I didn't because it's very interesting to see how different people treat you in game than they do on these boards.

I haven't come out and said it because I was pretty mad at the time, but I do appreciate the post you made in Loyats thread. I think its one of the more mature things I've seen people on the "other side" do over the last couple of days.


Anyway I am going to post what I said in that thread to this one for people to read before they get all snarky:

Essentially everyone who argues against me in a thread is just saying that I am not a good enough of a player to be successful at this game. I don't think thats true myself, because I have done very well in many other games and enjoyed myself alot. But whatever, sometimes it is easier for these folks to belittle detractors than it is to acknowledge that the game they enjoy so much has some warts.

It is like acknowleging that the sports team you love is not a great sports team. Some of us are cubs fans and we're ok with it, others are yankees fans and they can't deal with it. That's about as best of an analogy that I can come up with.

Anyway. Cubs in '05.

I like this game. If I didn't like this game I wouldn't bother to post here now would I? o.O

I fervently believe that the changes made to the game in the last patch(s) are on the whole very bad. I know it has personally affected my enjoyment of the game any many others.

Like I pointed out a couple of posts above, even Sarthus who flamed me to cinders for being negative signed the petition to ask the devs to re-balance combat back towards what it was pre-patch.

More or less, me and him agree on this!

I firmly believe that sometimes people get attached to these games like they are their favorite sports teams. I understand that a bit I guess... However, if my favorite team was going to trade away the star player for a couple of wash-outs, you better believe I would complain. I want my team to be the best, and to me this means being able to acknowledge when they do stupid things or make mistakes.

Look, I really want to resubscribe. You see, I *want* to cheerfully give Nevrax my money again. However, I can't bring myself to pay for the game as it currently stands.

Why am do I keep posting? I hope that someone at Nevrax will decide to fix this (in my opinion) mess. That's the only reason why. It's not to make fun of the people who still enjoy this game thats for sure.

Honestly I look at that poll posted by spaero - the fact that almost 60% of the community is very dissatisifed with this latest patch (and 20% are extremely fed up) well that is not good news.

If the people on this board who consider themselves the valliant defenders of nevrax really wanted to do something productive, they could should be behind the (seemingly) majority of the player base that is discontent instead of irritating them constantly o.o

I mean, just my opinion of course...

Anyway, since I didn't get a chance to say it in Loyats thread:

Thank you and apology most graciously accepted. Infact I'll look for you next time I am in game to give you some of my stuff that I probaly won't be needing anymore (after I donate my fortune to my guild).

Never played Anarchy Online during the first few weeks of its release did ya? Or beta test any other game in early beta stages? Oh never mind. Two minutes is nothing, but I'll give you a gold medal for being the first Ryzom player to think it's worth a whole thread.

Did you just compare ryzom's current state to a beta ?


Oh and remember that theres a reason people complain, its not to piss the fanbois off but its because they are pissed off themselves that the game, in their eyes, got ruined. They are pissed off because they liked the game as it was and gameplay got fundamentally changed
