the new patch really screwed this game up
Since installing the new patch the other, this game which I thought was one of the better ones in recent years has gone from great to awful. The magic casters seem like wimps even at a high level like 43. If the developers intentiosn are to keep their customers from canceling their subscriptions when World Of War Craft comes out in two weeks, they should fix the diasterous problems with their product. its not even worth playing anymore.
Re: the new patch really screwed this game up
Fix combat please. I loathe the new system. I want the old one back. Don't increase damage! You should fix Blind instead. That was the only problem in the beginning.
Re: the new patch really screwed this game up
LOL not that I dont agree they messed up in magic but 43 is still low level considerng you can get to 250 in multiple forms of magic and fight skills.
And they did fix blind to the point of near uselessness with the resists being so high for most afflictions.

Re: the new patch really screwed this game up
Mobs resist magic a lot now?
...seen after just rebuilding char with acid 4, acid 2 DoT and fear... lol
Mobs hit way too hard now, quite frankly. My hubby's L58 melee char was out foraging in Davae and got killed by a ragus in four bites-- got hit for 400+ dmg on one chomp and close to that on the others. I don't even want to leave town because of all the debt players are accruing.
I can't get XP for making up to q60 amps (was my main income before), I harvested and none of the new dug up mats would show in inventory even after crafting (XP-less amps), and it's debt city with the fighting.
I thought by focusing on a couple of spells and maxing them that I could at least level in magic (only a L37) but apparently that won't work either now.
Thanks, Nevrax, I'm surfing the web for a WoW trial as I type here.....

Re: the new patch really screwed this game up
Level 43 is Low level?? And just how the heck long do you think it will take a solo mage in the Ghost Towns to even get to that level?
Wait, wait... I mean, a Group of Mages...
No, No.... How ever many melee it takes to hold a mages hand past Suckling Yubos until he can finally cast one semi-useless affliction at level 43..
Bah, Neverax made a fatal mistake... fatal, and very obvious.

The problem with the mats not showing up is you need to get any that were prepatch out of your bag. I had to call a GM for the same thing and once I removed the older mats, it fixed it up just fine.thesiren wrote: I can't get XP for making up to q60 amps (was my main income before), I harvested and none of the new dug up mats would show in inventory even after crafting (XP-less amps), and it's debt city with the fighting.
