Dear Nevrax developers and managers,
think well about what you have done to a game that was real fun and could have been great, but now it's fun only for the few ones that did reach high levels before this damned patch ...
I don't like and I don't have the time to sit in front of my PC to grind levels in Ryzom for the whole day, I just want to have fun during the little free time that I have (a couple of hours a day).
With 'Patch One' you have made impossible for me to consider Ryzom a good choice to have fun, especially with a lvl 45 melee fighter (my actual toon).
I can't stand being 'restricted' to a small zone surrounding Yrkanis for the fear of being attacked and quickly killed by a small ragus (and suffering a good 10.000 xp points penalty), it's boring, pointless and frustrating !!!
One thing is sure at the moment: at the end of the trial period I won't become a paying customer. Unless you make this game worth my time again.
Well, you wanted feedback ... this is my personal point of view.
Where's the fun now ???

Just trying to reach the q100 FG areas I racked up 200k in DP, not funny.vanadium wrote:Dear Nevrax developers and managers,

High levels are even worse I can tell ya. Only thing I've gained since patch is death penalty, 141000 per death...
Managed to get in a group that killed stuff for about 800xp.. that translates to 3k dp per kill.. at 700k dp and still counting do the math... :/

Re: Where's the fun now ???
Unfortunately I have to agree patch 1 has ruined the game play, now even the new patch has made foraging a joke. Instant focus heal what's that all about? What is the point of having focus heal 1, 2 etc when you have instant focus heal. Also eventually there will probably be so much material around that there just won't be much demand for it.
Some people are saying that it's good because you don't want people leveling to quickly at a high level (level 250 I believe). What would have been better is let people advance to level 250 as before the patch then introduce higher levels (taking levels to say lvl 500) and these next 250 level tie these into your 8 year plan so that these next 250 levels are at a much slower rate. The problem that I see happening by slowing the lower levels down, is people will get bored because their character will be so limited in what it can do. And very few people are going to wait 2 years before their character can do anything useful. In 2 years time this game will probably start to look dated and the only way you will keep players is if the game play is good.

Great idea..
By the time they need to make the extra levels, they could hire someone to make a REAL xp advancement curve that uses a formula instead of whatever the hell they have now.
Re: Where's the fun now ???
I unsubscribed yesterday after the patch.
Checked the game today after the extra patch they did. Not much improvement, still very very hard to solo for worthwhile xp, atleast i could kill a weanling Yubo at lvl 30 melee.
The crafting is still a joke.
Hoped i was gonna have to bite my a** and give them credit for changing things back that fast but the extra patch didnt change all that much, still a completely different game than what i boiught a few weeks ago. I want my money back
