I'm an engineer, every time we put a new feature on some equipment or a new button to press the operators whine like old women for weeks. Usually the ones who have been using it the longest because they're used to it and stuck in their ways.
After a few weeks though they've learnt how to use it properly and wouldn't be without it, and grudgingly admit change is good.
Although the mobs do seem a tad too hard (im lvl32 melee), because I wasn't spending all my time writing moaning "THATS IT I QUIT" messages I found it was possible to hunt on your own and get reasonable XP. Despite the frankly tedious amounts of messages to the contrary.
By all means complain, but please, first give it a chance i.e. more than 24hours. Secondly complain to people who can do something about it, not in the region window.
Stop complaining.......

Borg9: just two points you made.
Outland suppliers now give missions, that's why you can't sell to them now.
Just untick the little box under the amount and you can then sell again no problem. It's ticked on by default when you go to sell something to the npc.

-I am yet to find away to sell 'junk' it all seems to add to my limited personal sales list. Who will buy my ql17 messab skin?

You say that as if all change is always for the better, but there are many engineering disasters as well. complacency and over confidence and always thinking change is always right and for the better. Well sometimes its not and I believe this is one of those occasions where it is not.
I agree that fine tuning was needed not taking a sledge hammer to a peanut.
Re: Stop complaining.......
Outland suppliers still display the message I want to buy xyz. The point is a change need to be fully implemented ... otherwise it just add the the confusion of change.shazzy wrote:Borg9: just two points you made.

Thank you for the tip. I find the new sell screen very cluttered and confusing. Also it seems to be set up with defaults for the things you do infrequently (List items for sale to players) and to do task that are more frequent require a load more actions (3xEnter key to sell one item).
I am concerned/angry/frustrated that things are being rushed.
I love this game, and have put a lot of time and effort into it and the community.
Change to good, I love change!
I don't like bug introduction, release and be dammed attitued.
I don't like bandaid patches to correct, things that they were told didn't work prior to release!
Re: Stop complaining.......
Thats right, thats because its the operators who should be suggesting how you upgrade a system and not the engineers. The engineers should only do the work, not the design.lordbean wrote:I'm an engineer, every time we put a new feature on some equipment or a new button to press the operators whine like old women

Re: Stop complaining.......
I think what hits me between the eyes with the complaints is that the vaste majority of complainants just don't seem to have grasped the changes to the system and are screaming that thier old methods of working no longer work.
No two ways about it - you will have to change the way you operate to a greater or lesser degree to get along under the new system.
Frankly (and I know I'm inviting flames by saying this), rather a lot of complainants just look incompetant to those of us who carefully checked out the changes and adapted accordingly.
Can't solo? Well at 70 melee/ 50 mage I can just fine - if anything, faster than I did before, it's just different. Now I can't comment on people above those levels who can't solo, not having experienced it myself, but below those levels - well I'm afraid it very much seems you haven't grasped the changes fully yet. Please try and modify your tactics and look carefully at how you operate before you come to the forums.
Harvesting? I'm pulling just as much out the ground as I was before. There IS a problem here though - the focus costs are extreme, but check out the announcements board, a fix for this is on the way. 102 forest forager here - pulling out 4 q100 mats at a time with no explosions or depletions and I still haven't fully optimised my stanzas. With the proposed changes to harvest that will at least double........ Seems like a fair rate to me Full aggresive harvesting with no careplan doesn't work anymore though.......
Crafting? Check out the new trading system. I don't buy from NPC's any more and the mobs are dropping higher qual mats in larger quantities.
Missions? OK - rewards are less, so you can no longer make obscene amounts of money off them, but I always did feel a little guilty at making 150k every 90 minutes from them. Ever thought though that maybe the main purpose of missions was to increase fame perhaps?
Don't get me wrong there ARE still things bugged and missing in the game (content especially) and you should complain about these.
But if you post that "The system is totally screwed, I can't do XYZ", I'm afraid that to everyone who CAN do XYZ, you will look a bit of a muppet..........

Re: Stop complaining.......
Is it not strange so few is NOT complaining?
What is we waist majority must "grasp"? they want us paying for them to test things out?
The dev's don't seem to grasp the ide how to fix some rules to get it to work as a mmorpg.
The whole game is build on a action system, they suddenly change to a exp system.
and all the problems we got now is they can't get the action system to work with the exp system

Re: Stop complaining.......
now dont get me wrong here, im not all against the new patch. Much of it is good, but i do have a problem with the new mob damage, especially gingo and ragus damage.
im a lvl 73 melee fighter 43 offensive mage. Before patch i was able to solo 2-3 scary gingos at once. Now im lucky if i dont get eaten by a baying one. This is a problem I can work around, i simply stay the hell away from gingos and raguses when i can. My problem is this. Im a matis, and in matis land we are overrun with gingos and raguses. I have a lot of guildmate that is relativly low lvls, but they still been able to join me on hunts. Now most of them cant even leave town because gingos are standing in line by the town gates, waiting for people to exit. Now they could just respawn in another town, yes thats true but the problem is almost the same there. So plz turn down the damage on gingos and ragus's but leave the other mobs alone. Its ok that we cant take on more then 1 creature at our own lvl, but not being able to take on a creature ½ our own lvl without having to rest after is nuts!

True and we do but each operator has their own opinions on what they want. In the end you just have to use your professional opinion to do what you think is right.rugster wrote:Thats right, thats because its the operators who should be suggesting how you upgrade a system and not the engineers.
