I'm sure one can still go and watch the event uninvolved. Still wondering how the pvp should work.

First and Foremost let me say thank you for the effort.

Today when I logged in I was greeted by the pump'kins. Ok, no problem, but as I continued my travels I discovered that if I wished to play today I would be forced to take part in the "pump'kin hunt". As many have pointed out, aggro was removed so low level players could take part in the event as well. I also understand that by removing aggro certain mats that are normally under heavy guard must be removed. But in the process many players and possible subscribers where left feeling high and dry.

Take me for example, I really had no true desire to run all over atys looking for pump'kins, but there were no other options. I know this has hurt the appearance of the game in the eyes of many potential customers. In particular one player messaged me when I was explaining what was happening and stated that majority of the time he got to play was on the weekends and that having all opions taken away from him did not make him inclined to pay.

As an alternative, why could the event taken place in the ring?
OR
Why couldn't all aggro and "more valuable" mats been removed, still allowing for some form of normal play?

I really appreciate your hard work for this event, but ask that you keep in mind for future events that not everyone wants to participate, and nearly no one wants to be forced into it.

Just logged in and logged out.

I think this is absolutely incredible, never seen something like this in any MMO i played.

Congratulations, devs.

Where is the freedom you claimed in front of the web site???

To appeal the new players, thinking you can do things different from invasion event, you have choosen the wrong way: instead of finding a good way to have event and normal activities together (as in all other MMOs) you have totally removed everything but the halloween event.

Let me say LOL. Can't believe you are so amateurish.

I was happy for the events generally and also crafted my blue and red armor for the sunday historical event, but really this choice that prevent me to play the game for the whole saturday gives me a bad feeling: you have no clues on how to appeal the people, you just wanna play your game.

Congratulations, you are going to lose one of the most addicted player.
I know you don't care.

Silly players, silly devs, in no particular order.

The whole situation is just...

Lawl. Lulz. Lollerskates. Roflcopter. Lmaonnaise.
Jelathnia, Kasarinia, KianShi, Maethro, ShuaLi, and OPaxie (Arispotle)
TeiJeng (Leanon)

I really just want to offer a few positive words among the wash of negativity. Thanks for the event, it's really great to have the world change like this, it has really felt like a holiday :) . Sure, I had my usual grinding planned for the weekend but a beastie free day has given me a once in a year opportunity to grab tps and spawn points for one of my alts so I can now use that Alt to design Ring Scenarios and get crafting patterns so I can feed her my low level dig mats. I think this event has been a very cool idea!

Even if I cannot attend a single planned event I'm stilling getting an awesome reward from the Halloween weekend. I might be only one quiet voice among the shouted abuse but I for one am really enjoying the experience and from talking to others I know I'm not the only one.

I sincerely thank the Ryzom team for their continued innovations.

Right, I can't be bothered to read the silly walls of text above me. This event thing-a-ma-jigger lasts only two days, unlike invasions. As such, I don't really see how it hurts anyone who doesn't want to participate in it.

I like the unexpected elements like pumpkin dudes and the Ghost Town. And after looking at the server pumpkin hunt ladders, I'd say it serves as new content and provides new goals for decent number of players. Nice work devs. :)
