>>> PREFACE <<<
This is going to be nitpicky, but the new player experience deserves nothing less than nitpicking.
General
- The new icons beside the names of mission/rite-giving NPCs and replacing their compass dots: Pretty; I commend your graphic designer(s). I very much appreciate the small icons option, though.
- Adding a theme to your encyclopedia by talking to the giver of the rite in question: A logical and mostly benign feature.
- Automatic capitalisation of the first letter of every word in right-click and compass menus: Kill it. It's been this way forever, but as it makes dialogue initiation options on mission NPCs look weird this is as good a time as any for me to mention it.
Yrkanis
City Welcomer
Arrival in Yrkanis
- System message "You are in Zachini Ward. Here you will find all the merchants and trainers that you'll need" is incorrect because there are other useful merchants in Tylini Ward. Simply change the message to "You are in Zachini Ward. Here you will find trainers, as well as merchants offering goods up to quality 50."
- Varo Linia (Stable Boy)'s dialogue appears as a tell message in the Around tab instead of a speech bubble.
- Compass target does not automatically switch from Varo Linia to Aniro Ward when you receive the "Go to Aniro Ward" mission step.
- "You are at Aniro Ward. Inside you will find trainers who will help you progress along the path you have chosen" should be "You are at Aniro Ward. Here you will find more trainers who will help you to progress along the paths you have chosen."
- No Tylini Ward tour? I suggest a mission step for it be added with a system message of "You are at Tylini Ward. Here, merchants offer goods of greater quality (up to 100 instead of 50)." This may not be immediately useful to new players but nevertheless a city tour is the perfect time to let them know about it.
Water for the royal craftsman
- Marco Menini should face the fountain by default. Facing the greenhouse entrance makes it look like his sole purpose in life is to wait for players to come to him.
- The first sentence in Marco Menini's first dialogue is missing a period at its end.
- Why is the mission name about water while the mission itself is about bodoc skin?
Help the people of Yrkanis
- Error in the mission summary: There is only a quotation mark where "Liccio Chialdo" should be.
- "Go back and see if Liccio Chialdo has other missions you can do" would be better if the word "missions" is changed to "tasks". That paints a more accurate psychological picture of what you'll be doing.
Securing the roads
- Liccio Chialdo refers to Miaccia Stazzo with the words "him" and "his" instead of "her".
- Miaccia Stazzo calls Liccio Chialdo "a real Tryker". Is this an intentional byproduct of Miaccia's attitude?
- Good job explaining why the Yrkanis authorities have allowed the road to be overrun by carnivores for so long.
- Mission step "Kill 5 Scowling Raguss" has an extra "s", obviously.
An errand for the Green Seed
- Liccio Chialdo says "So, do you know Miaccia Stazzo?" This sounds like he's asking whether you've met her when he knows perfectly well that you have. Merge this sentence with the next and rephrase to: "Miaccia Stazzo is difficult to deal with, but she doesn't have a bad heart."
- Rename the "Package to deliver" item to "Package" so that the mission step reads "Give 1 Package of at least quality 50 to Varo Frello" instead of being awkwardly phrased as "Give 1 Package to deliver of at least quality 50 to Varo Frello". Even if that wasn't a consideration, the item's name would just be cleaner and nicer if the "to deliver" bit were removed.
- Bandits stealing Varo Frello's money is borderline anti-multiplayer. I suggest this text replace her package reception dialogue:
"Thank you, I was getting impatient waiting for this package. But tell me...would you like to do me a small favor? Bandits are causing trouble around here. I can hardly step outside the city to enjoy a walk in the angelio forest without them harassing me and trying to steal my day's earnings. It's bad enough to have the Avalae Charmers skulking around...not even these bandits dare go near them, but I guess they are imitating their lifestyle. They often loiter around the cemetery to the southeast. I would be very grateful if you can go and teach them a lesson."
Accordingly, replace the retrieval and giving of the Little Purse with a simple kill step and replace the dialogue after that with "You look like you've been in a fight. It is done, then? Thank you! Now, even if only for a while, I can savor our lovely forest and visitors to the cemetery can pay their respects to the dead in peace. Take these as a reward."
- The compass target for the Avalae cemetery is erroneously called "<place_cimetiere_avalae.name>".
Boots for the Palace
- Mission step "Give the boots to Miaccia Stazzo" is erroneous. Should refer to Marco Menini instead, as Miaccia Stazzo has nothing to do with this mission and you can't give her the boots.
- Three extra "Give 1 Item" options are present when you right-click on Marco Menini to give the boots to him.
- Marco Menini says "You seem to be on your way to becoming an excellent craftsman." Change "an excellent" to "a useful", because the player is likely to exert the least amount of effort possible when creating these boots. Their work for this will not involve the careful experimentation that marks an excellent or potentially excellent crafter.
- I have no objection to the reward of 200 q50 Fine Generic Raw Materials. Early on, when you're reaping just one piece of material per source and you don't have enough money to buy a lot of materials from other players via the merchants, levelling crafts can be a pain in the arse. That fact makes this reward harmless.
Spears for the apprentices (1/2)
- Bravo on matching weapon type to civilisation. It's abundantly sensible that newbie crafters would supply apprentice warriors of Yrkanis with spears or pikes, since those weapons have always been used by Matis NPCs.
- In Miaccia Stazzo's first dialogue the grammar could be made a little more fluent by changing this comma to a semicolon: "Our new recruits break their training spears at an alarming rate, our stock is dwindling before our eyes."
- All dialogue, summary, and step references to the weapon you're supposed to make call it a spear/lance, but then you get a Pike Crafting Plan. Which weapon type is this mission meant to be about?
- Where's "Spears for the apprentices (2/2)"? The mission just ends after you learn Pike Crafting Plan from the Bravichi Rotoa Tree. None of the NPCs who were involved offer a way to continue.
Bones for the royal craftsman
- The compass target for the skull by the arena is erroneously called "<place_cwmh01_mp1.name>".
Roots for the barman
- Cicho Trivaldo's first dialogue has a typo: "I am in need of some special roots to favor my drinks."
- The compass target for the place you are directed to forage is erroneously called "<place_cwmh02_mp1.name>".
Spores for the apothecary
- The compass target for the place Angelo Ivaldi directs you to is erroneously called "<place_cwmh03_mp1.name>".
- "Matis Royal Token" is a very strange family of material for Psykopla Spore to be in.

But, true that should be made clearer. As not every player is a LARPer, or knows such things.
Good summary, as I did the quests on their first days and sent numerous tickets for these problems, I was told they were practically drowning in them already
Seems the populace does care after all for new players and such
So let´s hope the Devs will appreciate our efforts and correct these things

Thought of that, but as there weren't any direct references to water at all I continued to wonder.acridiel wrote:Simple, Bodoc-Skin as "Waterskins"

Good to hear.acridiel wrote:Good summary, as I did the quests on their first days and sent numerous tickets for these problems, I was told they were practically drowning in them already

Raguss seems to be the plural for Ragus in english. Don't ask me why they do that, but I think it's a choice from Nevrax

Wow, that WAS nit-picky!
But that's great! You just did them like a weeks of work in one post. If we all had this kind of eye for mistakes and errors or gave good suggestions (constructive, not mean spirited) then we'd kill all the mistakes in a week!
