I posted a complaint in game last night. about a player that used an old bug that has been around for long time.
He used this bug to kill off attacking guilds to his Outpost.
The effect of the bug was, all heals from attackers healed him as well as well as the Kami attacking. However since he was not tagged for OP, he could freely kill anyone at will but they could do nothing to him because he was not OP tagged..

Now today heard in Uni oh no, was anly in this state for 3 minutes before found out.

Well, I am not sure what time stop he had or has, but was enough to send the attackers to tp for respawn about 4-5 times. there was no competition on their defending the op, they had nothing to do, this player with no sportsmanship, was free to kill and no one could stop him. even when he was yelled at in Region chat, which he replied to, and freely bragged that he had every right to do this, and what was worng the attacekrs could not take a little,

For me, this says a lot. for a long time last year and the year before, Karavan on atys did things, many were not even according to the rules, and a few GM's obviously looked the other way. Many complaints on OP battles. Till they CSR's started showing up at battles to prevent rule violations by those who devoutly believe the rules do not apply to them.

Many players went to Cho server, because Karavan acted in this manner.
When they closed Cho, many from both sides left Ryzom, unfortunate but happend. Many came back to Atys, just to give a chance.

During the time the game was down, we lost a large portion of player base. From both sides, some am glad they left, others very much so sorry to have seen them go.
Is way it goes.
But when people who have not even the slightest Iota of sportsmanship use fully a 'in their own knowledge of "a Known Bug" ' of which in the Eula for ryzom says that those are not to be utilized, and are to be reported. ISn't it strange that the person using this exploit at time of using it is fully bragging in uni abotu people not being able to touch him and can kill them freely for them to 'deal with it'. Then return the next day bragging again, this time in Uni denying they were at fault that it was an accident.

Accident ? in what way can it be an accident when they USED this bug discussing in region this bug for minimum 30+ minutes. but then it figures.. was a Karavan 'Old School' using Karavan 'Old School' exploit.
If you go back to last year and put forth that 'many' karavan guild leaders were very close friends, with MANY GM's and MANY CSR's, then in a way this adds up back to how they came up with as many OP's as they did.. when they start losing in 'fair' battles OP's they bring out bags of tricks.

Using this the game cannot be fair.
People who use these types of exploits, and show they are more than willing to keep using it during OP's or other similar situations, they definatley should have their accounts banned. but since Ryzom is now a small player base, they wont do this.. for sure wont be anything done to repremand him.
Or any other karavaneers who exploit these types of bugs

edit - seriously 1 person at an op makes no difference, even so you can report it and life goes on. By the sound of it he was only bugged for 15mins too which must have been terrible, now I could understand if say the person was 5 people with launchers.

The old KA were percieved to be cheating, just as the KA percieved the kami to be cheating many times. How many times has Aen been dragged onto a battle @ malmont etc and who did it. As for "all kara leaders know the Dev's" you have seriously swallowed a load of crap whole. I remember the whole "CSR's cheating" crap that no evidence was found for but alot of people got whipped up over rumour and innuendo.

next time, take a screenie, report to csr and go from there.

We lost at Ginti fair and square, the time confusion didnt help.

It was just so disappointing to see someone actually brag about their ability to use an exploit like this.

As Jack says, it made no difference to the OP outcome.

As for the server crash, I will wait until I see proof of that, until then I will give that person the benefit of the doubt.

If it is proven to be true, It will probably kill Ryzom though

EDIT : On reflection, I think we may be talking about different crashes.

Locked. Please send any screenshots you have of this event to support-ee@ryzom.com (as .jpg and not zipped together) so that we can investigate further - we already have some tickets on the incident and are investigating, but anything that you can add may help.

As an aside, CSRs are prohibited from attending any outpost battles after player feedback in the GameForge era.
