Login and character selection screen resolution

Okay, here we go. Is there any option (by editing .cfg or something) to change the login and char selection resolution? I play ryzom at 1680x1050 and it's anoying to see how the char screen seems to be at 800x600 at full screen.
But then when the game starts to load the resolution changes to 1680x1050.

Any help?

ps: I'd like to know if the dev's are planning on adding some new planets, or new stuff, or new something to keep making this game interesting for newcomers.-
