I'm new to ryzom world so i don't know to much about the game.
I have a question; do you hear the footsteps while walking because i ain't.
So do i have a tehnical problem or so?

Hi there and welcome to Atys 
No technical Problem at your side.
Your (charakters) own footsteps can´t be heard while InGame.
Only those of the people and Mobs around you.
I don´t know for sure why this is, but my best guess is that it would probably reduce the overall soundperformance somehow to have a constant "taptaptaptaptap"ing played. *shrug*
Most of us don´t mind anyway, because
1. you´ll get used to it
2. you won´t notice anymore once there are enough mobs/people surrounding you
(just dig somewhere with Kipees for a while and you´ll see what I mean )

It's probley done for the sake of invasions and OP battles
