I hate bunny jumping as much as I hate not being able to jump

Seriously. Wanting to be able to jump and fall doesn't mean you want to bunny jump all the time. It's the feeling of freedom. Not being able to jump makes me feel like I'm glued to the ground, it's not a feeling I like to have when playing a game.

My understanding is that it's not something that can be implemented as easily as flipping a switch, metaphorically, in a line of code somewhere. It's said that Ryzom's coordinate system does not use the Z axis, but the 3D engine does.

If it's ever implemented, it'd better have a limitation like consuming 33-50% stamina per jump. The animations should look as dignified as possible, except for the Tryker ones.

In the meantime, you can use this command:
/alert none

By the way, Ryzom offers more freedom than the vast majority of MMOs in every regard except vertical movement.

Hahahaha Funny you should say that, I always frowned on jumping here, compared to all the little energizer bunnies in WoW, but I was running through Dyron yesterday and tried to jump over some boxes in my way out of (WoW) habit and felt a bit annoyed

imo there is simplicity in the argument, do you want xxx developers to spend many hours adding in a jump so ppl can save themselves a 5mtr walk sometimes or would you prefer they added content?

Jump with a splash of stamina is a dish best served when the devs haven't got anything better to do.

I agree, but we should also be given the option for undignifed jumps.
