OS: XP Pro

So I haven't played since I had my Raedon card but I seem to remember that although there is no Antiliasing option in Ryzom itself the game didnt look as choppy as it does right now. Not to mention I have a better card then my friend and his looks waaay better.
So, I go into Nvidia control panel and set everything to forced on, graphics the best quality over performance, ect ect. No change, still choppy and boxy looking.
If anyone has any ideas for me I would be very grateful Must... have... pretty... RYZOM! hehe

Re: Antiliasing
Try turning off bloom in Ryzom's graphics options and restart the game. IIRC bloom excludes antialiasing.amnel wrote: So, I go into Nvidia control panel and set everything to forced on, graphics the best quality over performance, ect ect. No change, still choppy and boxy looking.

Re: Antiliasing
Ummm...
Take NVIDIA Control Panel > 3D Settings > Set Antialiasing - Mode to Override any application setting
And then.
NVIDIA Control Panel > 3D Settings > Set Antialiasing Setting to 16x / 16xQ or 8x / 8xQ
Are you sure these are set like that? I can play ryzom without any jagged edges, even on full bloom.

Re: Antiliasing
Indeed, it might also be related to the graphics driver Ryzom uses. AFAIK you can have bloom and antialiasing ath the same time with Direct3D, while with OpenGL it's either one or the other. Driver3D = "OpenGL";
or
Driver3D = "Auto";
in your client.cfg and see if changing it to
Driver3D = "Direct3D";
makes any difference. Make sure you include the semicolons at the end of the line, and edit your client.cfg, not client_default.cfg
