Err ... I don't want to have XP easy to get either. I want a challenge, but a fun challenge - not watching tv while harvesting, or reading a book while fighting glancing to my screen from time to time and check if the fight's over.

And to really play it as a RPG, we'd need RPG tools = statless junk that has only one purpose: compliment a role... in theatre it's called props I think... that's part of the ROLEplaying.

I am just tired of:

Imbalance complaints
Content complaints
Nerf this/ Buff that

I was hoping patch 1 would be a content patch.

and the following patch 2 to be a super content patch.

I am starting to get the feeling that patch 1 and 1.1,1.2,1.3.....

will be a skill reset and a change on harvest and magic.

I think people have lost sight that this patch was intended to add me much need 'vendor npc'

and patch 2 was the make guild quests active!

as each day passes ... peoples hopes for the content of these patches will cause them to see more in them than there is.

What will people do if your guild is limited to one outpost.

What will people do once they have filled the 'vendor npc' with a ton of stuff nobody wants.

One of my friends who has played this game says 'it not very fast paced'.
Another is bored of the current content and is returning to PlanetSide.

I guess that your view of the game is dependant on what you want to play.

I don't think the 'content' people will ever be happy with this game, because outposts will be easy for the powerful guilds.

Main of the large guilds don't find the mobs a challenge, so why would they find a localise invasion difficult.

Thats of course if when they say ...

'we are leaving till the content comes' that the do actual leave.
'will come back when the bugs are fixed' and actual do leave.

Bugs
I occasional get a crash zone in tryker.
I harvest stacks of ql99 instead of ql100.
I craft ql25 mats on a ql40 plan and get ql24.... but get ql25 on a ql30/50 plan.

these are the only bugs that have affected me while playing.

Had lag, everyone had lag. The fixed it and quite quickly too!

I can't stack items, without using a work-around
GuildHall inventory too small
Appartments not worth the money - in FBT they were priced at 100k, a million dappers for an inventory is a little high, but money is easy to get so I guess no problem here.

The above issues are frustating!

I think I may go and play on the ATS server, but it does frustrate me to test a game I am paying for.

I have had some feed back from other guild members that the ATS is awesome. I will see for myself.

I'm a bit bored too; but for different reasons and mainly because my main game motivator is not present in Ryzom: full pvp. So I'm feeling I'm playing a temporary char on a blue server until a full pvp server comes out... which may never happen.

Happens to me too from time to time, mostly when swimming near avendale.
I harvest stacks of ql99 instead of ql100.

That may not be a bug: do you switch modes often? -> lose time on the timer, get too short on QL when it's up? If I find a mode 1 from the start I get 4 QL100's, if I switch modes 1x.. I don't get higher than 99 : timing too short, I'd need the next timed source to compensate.

I use 334 agressive - never get to ql100 no matter what mode comes up or what time is on the source.

Okies, one solution : delete and reroll... happened to me with some chars, while others didnt have those issues :D

So lets see. Why do i harvest? To supply materials.
the lvling is a nice game mechanic to get me hooked but that is not why i harvest.

So i can get allmost max xp (for my lvl and mat Q) from Pulling 1 mat.

The bonuses of doing this are Many. A few examples:

- Less focus use. (can spawn multiple sources from 1 prospect).

- Much higher xp gain in the time i can get 4 mats from a 1 min timer i can get 3x the xp if not more.

- Pulling 1 mat with a timer of 25 secounds amy source mode is safe (almost).

Now pulling as many mats as i can IE. the whole reason for harvesting.

Bonuses this may be short.

Well I did actually think i could come up with somthing but....
Why do i still go for max pulls?

So further on I am Lvl 125 forage at this lvl i can maintain a 32 credit action plus prospecting and not lose 1 focus.
This allows me to get 4 (lol) mats on a 1 min timer. let me see 25 * 4 = 100 so i am getting double (well allmost double 1.6x) the number of mats that a lvl 1 forager would get. yes they are Q148 ? (q150 extract stanza!) but then a lvl 125 crafter needs these, same as a lvl 1 crafter needs the mats that the lvl 1 harvestor gets.

Trying to use a 64 credit stanza and i use up over half of my focus getting the same 4 mats can go to about 6 mats at a cost of over 800 focus (on max regen that takes a good while to get back).

Ohh this is ignoring the whole gentle and mat specalisation route. i could get ohh possibly 4 mats on a 64 credit while still ending up with 0 focus maybe the source would be usable on all of the modes then.
Hang on they allready are if you extract 1 mat......


Now to a positive note.

I suggest changing the gentle and the aggressive around make gentle cost laess and be available earlier but be as they are now slower on a lvl for lvl approach. And have them avaialble many lvl before the aggresive.

Then this becomes a play off do i use my gentle and get some mats being quite safe (esp good at lower lvls you dont have to kill them). or do i save up and get some of these aggressive actions hmm i can get more mats using them, however i have to use this other skill (mat spec) to keep the source a bit less dangerous.

Turn it around make it worth while.

Also somthing to make grouping worth while would be nice.

Ohh and please i hope they fix the tracking and the prospecting specs that lead you to the wrong mats.

This is just a few of the problems that there are with the whole harvsting system. I cold go on for another page or so about the use of Preservation skills and the rest.

PS. I know this is mostly conjecture and no solid numbers. I have done enough testing and fiddleing (why i am only lvl 125) to understand how it fits together, and i can not be bothered to get numbers on things that are plainly not working.

No way in 9 levels time I will be on ql149 mats - till patch comes.

and as a level 70 crafter (ql80) ql99 is fine by me.

Did nevrax only disable Mat spec on the NA servers?

Hmm all aside, the fact that someone can reach lvl 250 in anything in just 3 weeks is just sad... i mean really sad... and they need professional help.
