Hi, I'm from Germany! I was one of the first people, knowing for Ryzom and made the first and biggest Fansite the last 1.5 years. But unfortunatly the game is still nearly unknown in Germany. I don't know how many german subscribers we have. I don't think it are much more than 1k, even less, my Fansite is the biggest one in german and got only 400 Visits per day. Every day a lot of people quit their accounts, including me. So i think 20k is a much to big number.

And don't forget, the Developmentcosts have to be payed back too.

Btw imo Nevrax made to much changes to the game, to fit it to your, the North American market.

One Word to DAoC, it is so popular in Europe, cause its playing in our old World. But lost much longtime subscribers since ToA, me too. :(

Just curious about this: what changes do you think were made to fit Ryzom into the North American market?

Well, they changed the whole XP system right after themis startet the support in NA. For me it seems themis pushed nevrax to do this changes.

Just my 2 cent.

I seem to be missing something. Who is Themis? And could you explain in more detail the xp change?

QUESTION- will sor survive november?

no as soon as wow eq2 go live they are closing the SOR server for good. didnt you know that? arr well its true. every time a new mmorpg goes live all old mmorpgs have to close down there servers because of corse EVERYONE wants to dump there chr they have been working on to start a new one in a new game.

not sure why people still make silly posts like this.. they are in every mmorpg forum. when asherons call 2 came out everyone expected people to leave for it.. they didnt. when swg went live everyone playing AO was sure the server would go down. it didnt.

If you're a Tryker, don't worry about the game, in all other lands numbers in every region grow steadily. Tryker is dying, pending the needed fixes, IMO -- I don't even end up going there at all anymore.

WoW and EQ2 from all I've heard will be the same as every other fantasy MUD/MMORPG since the 70s. Generic medieval MMORPG (newer graphics of course). Nevrax has done great at moving as far away from that as possible while still keeping it a fantasy game, IMO.

So true. People have been posting this in Ultima Online forums since day one. That is to say, for the past 7 years.

Not really a concern of the Server going own but if there will be enough people around to make the game interesting. Thank you alevana for mentioning that other races are flourishing. The way it is now in Tryker there is maybe 10 people inthe capital and never more than 3-4 in the other regions. No matter how good the game may be if the Massive Multiplayer aspect is 10 people its lame. So until I can get the heck out of Trykerville it takes some psyching up to even play this game because no one is around. And I am sorry but it WONT get better in November and there will be a dozen Trykers in the whole game and none in Tryker.
