And last I checked, I believe Europeans couldn't play on the American servers and vice-versa? Admittedly it was a while ago now, but if I recall that was the main reason I didn't stay in WoW long. I had some friends across the Atlantic playing it, but I wasn't allowed to play on the same server as them.fiach wrote:the problem is there are so many bloody servers, everyone is on different ones, which kind of hamstrings us all getting together I would imagine.![]()

WoW wouldn't be the only MMO to do that either, and personally I don't want to pay for any MMO that doesn't let me play with the people of my choice just because they happen to live somewhere else.

It is possible to play on the US servers from EU. It just requires buying the US version of the game, rather than the EU version (can be done easily over the net). Basic (for those of you who remember him) plays with us on a US server, but lives in England. I've also run into a few Australian players.sidusar wrote:And last I checked, I believe Europeans couldn't play on the American servers and vice-versa?
