I feel like I'm being cheated...

I was wondering wether anyone won any of the grand prizes recently at the roulette. More precisely, the shield of prestige or the yubo doll.

I suspect that the winnings have been nerfed after the initial 2 weeks after the roulette went live and there's no decent chance (if at all) to win the grand prizes anymore.
Some feedback from the players would be appreciated - It would be optimistic to the point of foolishness to hope for any feedback from GF, of course.

BTW, if anyone from GF ever reads these forums, here are some suggestions for the roulette thingie:
- reduce the rate off winning flowers and make them at least as useful as the q250 op flowers. as they are now, they are not worth their weight.
- increase (and i mean really increase) the chance of winning fluff - surprises and especially fireworks. Peope like them and they do not give any combat advantage - they are ideal gifts.
- increase the chance of winning cats - within reason. Anyway, as it is now, I think I can get more of them by begging at my enemies.

-Consumables (fireworks) should be much more common, they're gone after you use them.

Ever hoped to win that giant plush Panda Bear they´ve got sitting there for years now?
Another example?

Las Vegas, how often do you hear of somone cracking THE Jackpot at any Casino there?
And how often do you hear anyone complain that he didn´t win anything, after visiting Las Vegas?
Or demanding that the odds on the Machines should be changed?
Or that Black-Jack or Roulette should be made "fairer"?

People still go to Las Vegas, no one uses the wheel anymore, there is a difference.

I like the chnages listed in the first post, like so many things in game, the wheel could use a little love.

But we are not on a real casino, we are in a game, and whatever we like to RP we still _know_ we aren't living on Atys, and we're paying for a game.

The price to implement the Casino then is not justified because for most players it's nothing to win there except a huge dumb time sink.

When we play a game much like when watching a movie or going to the theatre we demand the producer: cheat me, make me belive, make me feel inside. If he does it right we're pleased, if our feelings are cheated we're happy.

On the other side giving prizes that have battle stats disbalances game, favorizes a certain category of players, and makes craft obsolete. Congrats GF in not giving up the temptation to reward Casino players with that. Fireworks, dolls, decorative shields, all are good, with one exception: if it takes months to win them, they are as good as inexistent, just wasted server power.

But when you implement such a device in a game _obviously only_ as money and time sink the make belive can be felt as a lack of respect to those who want immersion. As much as we know money and time sinks are useful in MMOs we also accept them only in nice clothes, or go play solitaire, after all it has a nice animation at the end
