Sharokti [IC letter of introduction]

Sharokti is a word of an old tribal dialect meaning "free." In these days, it has come to be the name of a guild.

Members of Sharokti should be free homins in the sense that, although they might choose to believe in either Karavan or Kami, Jena or Ma-Duk, or another, they would not do so with blindness or fanaticism. One can learn from anyone, even those who are said to be enemies. Sharokti recognises this, and thus asks that any who join be prepared to live alongside and learn from fellows diverse in race and religion.

Homins who join can expect to be both provided for and challenged. Equipment, materials, and other items will be available as possible, but what you receive will be balanced against your competence in using it. Tasks and contests will be set for enjoyment and skill-honing. By skill, I mean both what the trainers can teach you, and what they can't. In pursuit of the latter, be prepared to face death, as in these new lands we are blessed with nigh-infinite resurrection; therefore avoiding death when one can learn something by risking it is wasteful.

One of a free homin's most valuable tools is their voice. Yours will be heard in all matters. This does not mean that all courses of action will be decided democratically; it simply means that if anyone wishes to make a suggestion or express a concern, their opinion will be listened to and considered with sincere interest and respect.

Sharokti claims no citizenship or alignment at this time. Unfortunately, this means homins who have declared racial citizenship or religious alignment cannot be accepted into membership without renouncing their declaration.
