Cho (international shard) is going for a phoenix trip. We will close the shard in the middle of next week. Cho characters and guilds will be merged to Arispotle and Cho will be reborn a few weeks later under another name to welcome a new community.

I never played on Cho more than the time needed to create a char but i really feel your pain.
Close this shard means killing cho communoty even if it s a very little one.
That would really makes me leave the game if i were playing on Cho.

you never met me (or any of the other ari players) maybe we could have been friends...

its a big opportunity i think.

i know prehaps sad.. but what do u really loose? OP's nothing more. your community isnt lost, u can still play with everyone u know, u still have your guilds, just turn off uni chat and ignore everyone who is not from cho if that what u want

but i am sad if cho players just want to leave without realise the possative side too..

As I said in the other Cho-related thread.

I know how it feels to lose your home. I was apart of the original Windermeer/Arispotle merger. That merger was necessary, honestly less so than the Cho/Arispotle merger. I was upset when I lost my 'home' but that didn't mean the end of the world. I made lots of new friends with the merger, and got to learn so much more about places other than the US . While you may be upset now, try to think of all the more positive things that will be gained with the merger.
And I think it will be nice to see a lot of the peoples I made friends with on Siobhan

Things aren't over, unless you make them be over. There is still as much to find on Aris as there was on Cho. The 'community' you see here on the forums is the the same community you find in game as much. Heck, I /wave to many members of the Karavan Alliance here. (er, keep that on the downlow).
But, dont let the merger kill you off until you've had a chance to experience Arispotle for a while.

please do not see this as an end ... but a new begining i too was moved from windameer to arispotle, that in it self was one of the major exudus of players.....many nerfs and many leave...... please stay and join us... too many leave already.... i've played through the betas and on in to retail... i love the game...love the community... looking forward to meeting all the CHOsen ones... who play for the love of the game....

As you can already see, most of Arispotle will welcome you with nothing short of open arms. Though I regret the short lifespan of Cho, I'm always eager to see new homin faces. You've already endured so much as the community ignored, now I can only invite you to endure this one last stroke, give our server a chance, and bolster the common Atys with your presense... after all, we're really not as bad as the forums may sometimes suggest!
