As for the nexus, sure it's a tough spot....so is scorched corridor, so is Void, so is Loria ... if Forest can have it, why can't it a) be removed or 2) the other equally dangerous regions have it too ?
Having dug Scorched Corridor (Flaming Forest AND the canyon part), Void, and CPed in Grove of Confusion, I disagree with SC and Void being tough to dig in. Void is by far the easiest with SC coming in 2nd. Can't say much for Loria...all I know trekking in that zone is tougher than any of the other 250 zones.

What race you are is immaterial do the fyros / zora thing doesn't hold, it's picking a skill tree to level before you find out that one of the four region specific skill trees has something to offer that the others don't ?
Would it be null if Fyros craft gave extra XP ?
Let's look at the informed versus uninformed situation:
Informed - A player on the verge of leaving Silan want to focus on digging and finds out he can dig 200 level exe mats right outside noob city essentially being able to level up to 200 w/o any significant hassle. Does this favor choosing to start in matis as oppossed to anotehr starter town ? If it does, then it should be fixed and the consensus seems to be that it is an irregularity that should be fixed.
Uninformed - After digging to level 200 I find out that if I had started in Matis I could be digging supremes. Now I can either start at level 50 and grind another 150 levels before I take advanatge of this or I say "crap, I wiush I had known this going in".
Again, if it's gonna stay, what is the objection to having equivalent opportunities in other regions ?
If a player asks and/or researches (as in uses the search function and/or goes through the different guides people have created), the information is EASILY provided for. So, again, it is null. This game doesn't spoonfeed new people; however, the community is VERY helpful. If there was no information available at all, then the argument wouldn't be null.
Anyone who is complaining that they "didn't know" and are mad that they leveled the "wrong" zone should have asked questions beforehand. In the end, it's not a huge inconvenience. In fact, you have all the skills to dig higher level quality materials than you would have otherwise in a new land (thus leveling faster). So, stop QQ-ing and L2Forage.
