My first instinct is "nowhere." Not much out there. But...

Available now: PlaneShift or EVE
Not yet released: Myst Online, Hero's Journey, Star Trek Online, or Genesis
Jelathnia, Kasarinia, KianShi, Maethro, ShuaLi, and OPaxie (Arispotle)
TeiJeng (Leanon)

Ryzom or nothing.. this game is a Masterpiece, I love everything it offers me atm.. hell even harvesting is a "mini-game" in itself as a friend noted.

I came from Lineage2 , Erica Server, played their Franz new Euro server.. only to quit because of the amounts of botters, ebayers, prof plvlers, farmers you get there: it was a shame to see so many cheaters 2 years after a so called enforcement.

Lol, I saw more GMs in Ryzom in my first day that in my whole time in L2: Open Beta to Chronicle 5!! Actually, I only saw once a GM using ANY chat in game.. lol.

So whe you see this :
Lineage....Getting on a bit, an excellent game IMO, but too much PvP to suit denizens of Atys, but its in its 5th Chronicle (I think) now, so starting to burn out.
You should ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THIS:

As for WOW, allow me to re-quote what I've said and what I think about this game in the Off-topic forum:
WoW is not for me: instances and mandatory regional servers.. basically everything I hate as concepts. where is the "Massive" in the instance? Where is the internet freedom and amazing communication possibilities with the regional servers? I'm French and proud and happy playing with US, Jap, Euro, African players.. why in hell would ppl restrict such beautiful part of the gameplay?

Make language speaking servers? That is definitely understandable.. but reduce the Internet to the IRL "country" conception.. what a shame!

The farmers never really bothered me tbh, I used to pay off karma beside bots, cos they would buff the crap out of me to stop me killing them :D

Yeah they can screw up the economy afair bit, but so can large clans, you get a fairly large clan, double and triple boxing, they are no better than the farmers. The large guilds on Erica all Ebayed both adena and characters. Dread, SC, FA, they all had ebayed characters in them for a fact.

What I liked about L2 is the combat style (eg. SK, SH, PR and Prophet all rock) in the classes I played, The huge maps, the GFX (great in their time and still pretty good), the PvP, Sieges, excellently designed mobs, actually on thinking about it, I would consider re-rolling and going back there if Ryzom stops, but TBH, it would only be a temperory measure.

Phantasy star universe :)

Just waiting for release, already finished here along time ago. I still sub because this game deserves the money, and has the loyalty of an old player.

The game is coming to an end, I realised that a while ago, the ring was where they went wrong..especialy when they thought they could make money from it.

Unfortunately they sealed the deal with the stopping of new subscriptions, even if its only a temporary thing, to people that arent aware of whats been going on, or don't understand how we as a community and nevrax do things, thats basically saying to the mmo community that we are shutting up shop. People will always think of ryzom as sub par. It's there loss of course.

I wouldn't put so much of my time and commitment into another game after this one. It has proven to be worth close to naught. Excluding the few quality mates I've made.

bah!

there will never be another Ryzom for me either in terms of time and love and general belonging, but it's been worth every second and you know it :) (and hopefully lots and lots more seconds to come)
