So what's going on with the Dragonblades?

Ok so for quite a while I've noticed the leader of the Order of the Dragonblades has been swapping around a bit... normally nothing to be concerned about but then on Friday I noticed Jelathnia in a new guild "House of Etchmarc".

After a quick (and tbh confusing) chat with her, I got the impression that there had been two bunches of people leaving the guild... mostly due to various "leadership issues" and that as well as this, Haldir had been kicked from the guild (I assume by the new leader Zyquo).

I've been told that there are four guilds that are involved in some way... we have:

1) the current "Order of the Dragonblades" led by Zyquo, whom I hear is now the sole (active) member ?
2) Atys Blades led by Haldir
3) House of Etchmarc led by Enon (with Jelathnia as a member)
4) Shadow and Flame have also been spotted, with Haldir as a member...

Now I don't mean to stir this up at all, but I am pretty confused by all this and quite worried by the massive changes in what I considered a pretty unique guild on Atys. Best of luck to everyone with whatever they plan to do with these guilds, and I understand that you will probably wish to keep the sordid reasons for the breakup private, but could someone tell me what the heck is going on?

I don't want this to turn into the typical ten-page outpost ordeal, merely to provide a bit of information. Haldir/AB has attacked OotD's outpost (contact me in-game for the time and place if you'd like to help defend). Since OotD, HE, and CoL are still on good terms, as I see it the outpost is being taken from more than one guild. Prior to this, Haldir asked Veni Vidi Vici to give Greenvale Trade Post to him (OotD used to own Greenvale and transferred it to VVV when we gained our current OP). Failing that, he declared war on OotD's OP without attempting any kind of peaceable agreement.

Two corrections to Jelathnia's post, since it seemed to be aimed to garner support for her side.

1) Haldir did not ask VVV to turn over their outpost to him, he asked them for aid in the upcoming attack.

2) Haldir made a request of Zyquo several days ago regarding conditions for Haldir's possible return to the Order of the Dragonblades. He has heard no reply and through other conversations has learned that Zyquo did not likely intend to grant Haldir's request.

At this point Haldir decided to take action.

I hope this thread can end here and we can all enjoy what I expect to be an entertaining outpost battle. Arrive early for maximum RP entertainment value.

Just to update the current situation. This outpost battle was not a roleplay event, though many of us always strive to keep our actions in character. The intentions of our characters were deadly serious. Those who witnessed the harsh language early on in this "battle" can attest to that. The roleplaying I was referring to had been my intention to challenge Zyquo to a duel for the leadership of the Order. However, all sides were open to an even more peaceful settlement and one was made. We all fully expected to be doing battle and end up bitter enemies at the end.

Zyquo has agreed to return the Order of the Dragonblades to Haldir's leadership in a few days time, once some other conditions are met. The Atys Blades will not functionally exist, and the stance of the Order of the Dragonblades will be the same as before.

Haldir would like to personally thank Jeziellia for showing him [and me] the way out. Sometimes problems can really be solved without going to war.

To those who seemed to get "dragged in", this was not our intention and we apologize if it seemed that way. We were all serious about our requests for aid and appreciate all offers that were made.

Well I came, And to be honest it was cool to see and OP battle settled diplomaticly... I wish the best for the Order of the Dragon Blades... Even If I am not an ally of them... I respect the way they RP (as I have seen it thru anothers eyes o.o(Turok, Someone I once shared a home with IRL)) and have always been fasinated by the way the guild was run...

Glad to see things are coming back together, And I hope it continues to do so...

I have read all I can on this matter, yet I fail to see House Etchmarc expressing anything on the list of guilds. Who are these Usurpers lead by None and what is their stand on Atys. The community would like to know what the lesser of some evils is...
