So a couple firends of mine and myself started playing Ryzom a few weeks ago, and we decided to put together our own little guild, but there's a few things we haven't been able to figure out...
1) Can anyone in the guild do an invite, or is that reserved to the guild leader/officers? And can the default be changed?
2) How do we gain "guild points" and what do they do?
3) How do we swear the guild to a Race, or Kami/Kharavan?
4) Is there any way to send gear we've crafted to a new member, or do we just have to wait until we have guild housing to send items back and forth (short of handing them over in game)? We currently don't have a guild house, and are working on getting together the cash for a guild apartment.
Those and any other tips you might have for a new guild starting out in the world of Atys would be much appreciated!
Newbie guild questions
Re: Newbie guild questions
1. Officers, High Officers and Guild Leader only.
2. Not implemented yet, trust me lots of people would love to know.
3. Erm, dunno honestly. Never bothered
4. Handover in person, or High Officers / Guild Leaders can take items out of the Guildhall (no one else can).

Leader
High Officer
Officer
- Only officers or above may invite new people to the guild
- Only high officers or above may touch the guild inventory
- I think the leader is the only one who can declare faction alignment for the guild, and a few other perks.
The system in Ryzom is pretty backwards, for a small guild, you may not have any HO spots (or perhaps you get leader+1), but otherwise, officer slots appear to be based on membership, so you can't just make everyone a high officer as you would like.
There's no way for the whole leadership to go on vacation as well.
there's an awful lot to be desired in terms of flexibility in the guild system, it's simple for the to put in this way I guess, but I"d really like to see them update most of teh features of the guild system in Ryzom, it's one of the weakest parts of the game really.
EDIT: the gibbai is faster and more complete as usual

Re: Newbie guild questions
also worth knowing:
* leader can demote and promote
* dismissing ppl is hierarchical (ie a HO can dismiss officers and members but not other HO's)
* leaders and HO's can convert the guild to a faction/race - the npc's are in capital cities/temples
* leaders and HO's have access to outpost management
* it would be really great to have the guild missions, trainers etc implemented.. 2+ years waiting means our patience should be rewarded i think

Re: Newbie guild questions
Yes but remember Nev does not have the recources to work on Kitin lairs, Spires, AND all the other features, that are in game, but not implemented yet.....hehe, maybe they should outsource another company to take care of non graphical, lore related UI and Guild related features? Then again, maybe not hehe
Re: Newbie guild questions
I'm pretty sure that only the guild leader can do this. As the GL is the only one who has access to this on the fame window for the guild afaik.rushin wrote: * leaders and HO's can convert the guild to a faction/race - the npc's are in capital cities/temples

Re: Newbie guild questions
There is info on this in the newcomer section, however, a couple of quick points:
1. I think the number of HOs is based on 10% of membership but also you get one to start.
2. GL can convert guild if the guild is neutral and guild fame is above 30 (I think it is 30). HOWEVER, if you want to be a kami or kara guild then I strongly suggest you convert before you make the guild. This will allow the guild to instantly become kara or kami as opposed to dragging guild fame from 0->30+ to convert.
Also not sure about the benefits of becoming a GL unless you like having multiple chat windows up all the time.

Re: Newbie guild questions
You get 1 HO at the start then it's based on 5% of members but new HO spot is open at 21,41, 61 members ect..patha wrote: 1. I think the number of HOs is based on 10% of membership but also you get one to start.
