a comment, a question, and a funky dread

hello again. Oi I always seem to come up with a question. but first to everyone that answered my previous two. A giant thanks, your response were quick, detailed and very much appreciated. Not to mention helpful.

soooo looking at all the actions available and getting 10 skill points per level, are there really enough skill points to get everything by the max level? Looking at the cost of some, even at these lower levels, seems to me that with 10/level couldn't have enough by max to get everything, specially where it concerns crafting (which i am so enjoying/and the harvesting).....or do the number of skill points/level go up after 20 levels or 50 or whatever. I know, been told can get everything. but 10/lvl 250 levels 2500. but in a previous thread o' mine was mentioned peeps saved up more than that. what am i missing or is my math wrong for some lame reason? oi!

err the funky dread is from an old record of mine (dj) by a trio called A Homeboy a Hippie and a funky dread. nifty track, specially he b-side.

Skills split into multiple branches, i.e.:

Fight
- Melee Fight
-- 1 Handed Melee Fight
-- 2 Handed Melee Fight
-- Close Combat
- Range Fight
-- 1 Handed Range Fight
-- 2 Handed Range Fight

So in total there are something like 11,000 levels to be gained.

If you really pursued one skill tree of one branch only, you'd most likely end up with no or very little skillpoints left to buy everything available.
That's very unlikely to happen, though.
By following the tutorial missions on Silan you already opened up two different branches of the crafting skilltree for you, armor and weapon crafting... By following those missions and assuming you would never bother to buy any crafting plan anymore your entire crafting career until the end you'd already have three or four 250's skilltreebranches: Light Armor Boots, Light Armor Pants and Close Combat Weapon Crafting (not sure about Daggercrafting being in 1H or CC... so that's the 3 or 4 *g*).

To cut a long text short:
Since all skilltrees split and split again and split further (a tad less at harvesting) and since you will gain experience in other side branches as well you won't have too many trouble with skillpoints later™... And it'll always stay at 10 SP/Level, btw ;)

ahh split branches, so start specializing if ye wish gotcha BUT it's the first part of ye response that worries me (hah! i plan the extra-long-term)...maybe I'm not getting something but that would imply there really isn't enough skill points to 'master' everything. no? mmmm how to explain how i am reading that.....say i chose fighting-1handed melee to the top that's 1 skill tree of one branch thus "no or little xp to buy everything available" OR are some skills/upgrades crossovers and thas' what ye mean like stat upgrades and what not.
hope that makes sense. I'm somewhere like 18/20 fighting 6/20 magic 21 harvesting 10 or so craft but too nervous to spend much of my points for fear of losing out later on (and getting completely decimated fighting because of it methinks)

I´m a little bedraggled from a cold right now and somewhat confused by all these Numbers floating around on my screen, but rest assured:

You will be able to buy what you need!
There will be enough Skillpoints for everything.
Just not at first instance.
The stronger your diversity in skills, the more Skillpints you get to use.
Trust us, later you´ll see for yourself :)

OKi, I'll try to keep it straightforward this time as I noticed I had some trouble getting the meaning from what I wrote as well now :rolleyes:

As Acridiel said, you will have enough SP later*™. No need to worry, really.
It is tough at the beginning and skillpoints are rare then.
That's because you don't have room to spread for gaining them yet.
As skill trees split you are able to gain skillpoints from each split tree's branch to get what you desire.

Assuming you really only pursued one single branch of one skilltree you wouldn't be able to get everything the trainer has to offer. That is true for all skill trees (but harvesting until you're very high in it).
But... since you'll gain crafting skillpoints for the crafting tree by advancing any branch and you can spend them as you like within the crafting trainers offers, that's not really a problem later™. (Crafting only taken as an example.)
Also, I don't know of anybody who has really dedicated him/herself to one branch only. That'd occur most likely in harvesting or fighting.

To stick to your example, Fight, 1-handed.
Until Level 21 Fight is generalized, containing Melee and Ranged. At 21 it splits into those two.
Now taken you only fought on with a onehanded sword from that point on, you'd follow these splits or continuations:
51 - 1-Handed Melee, 101 - 1-Handed Melee Slashing, 151 - 1-Handed Melee Slashing: Sword, 201(c) - 1-Handed Melee Slashing: Sword Expert, 250 - Mastery.
If you managed to stick onto that exactly, not gaining a single level in any side split, no ranged fight level, no 2-handed Melee level, no 1-handed Piercing level, etc., you'd really arrive at the level 250 mastery level with quite a few things left to obtain at the trainer's. Still, you'd most likely have all the essentials and basics by then (all stats upgrades, all inc. damages, most accurate attacks and some auras).
That is very unlikely to happen, though - everybody tries different things at times as different things are also differently effective at times ;)

However & to conclude:
Just get from the trainers what you think you'll need or like the most.
There is no way one can mess up indefinetly. Even if you might realize lateron that you'd rather have gotten another offer from the trainer, the only thing lost might be the time it'll take you to get a few levels on a side branch of that tree to earn thos SP now missing.

It's in 1h - CC is basically amp crafting. ;)
