I am not trying to be snarky here. I can tell you are in a tail-spin as far as Ryzom goes. I really think you either need to step away for a bit ( a few months, really) or re-examin your reality filters and come up with some configuration where you are not always right.
... and things are back to normal again with mrshad.

Dude you really do lack any kind of conscience, understanding or empathy hmm?

Posting judgements on another persons apology with a quick fix to make them how you feel they should be... hypocritical much? "If only Grimjim agreed with me, then he wouldnt be so bad!"

Damn, you need to adjust your reality filters.

Why the heck do you PvPers think you deserve something special? PvP should be its own reward. No one FORCES you to do it. PvEers darn well do deserve similar rewards. It doesn't seem that long ago that PvPers in MMORPGs in general were whining because PvEers got all the rewards. There is no reason whatsoever that PvPers should be treated any differently then PvEers. Both types of player pay the same monthly fee to play how they see fit.

Perhaps.
Or perhaps I have it just right. It is hard to tell, since I don't know GJ personally.

No, no quick fixes. Reviewing your basic assumptions about how you see the world is a difficult thing. Usually it takes a lifetime of being buffeted by whatever life throws at us before we finally accept that we don't know half as much as we think we do. Personally, I am stuck on "No one knows anything" cynicism; so when someone tells me something, I automatically view it with suspiscion. Not a healthy viewpoint.

I don't expect my friends to agree with me. I argue with my IG friends all the time. I expect it even less from the people I only read on the forums. I don't think GJ is so bad. I have said before that I enjoy reading his stuff. I do think he is banging his head against a door that he, himself, is holding shut.

Most likely.

I would suggest that all parties involved go to bed before posting in this thread again.

You are all grown up enough to realise that a personal squabble in a public forum is innappropiate. So act accordinly.

Grimjim, I honestly do not think most of the people you "argue" with deserve an apology from you. Well, maybe that time you went after Rundll, but it was humorous all the same.

I have always enjoyed reading, well skimming, your posts (they are sometimes very wordy :P ). I think you generally make a good point. And if you dont, well you believe in it, even if it is 100% crazy.

From the way you sound though, it seems as though Ryzom is no longer a stress relief for your life, but adds stress. When Ryzom got to that point for me, I took a break (1 or 2 months I think). Even now, when I'm on the Aristotle server, I find myself logging off and going to the Cho server as soon as I'm done with whatever I have to do on Keiko. Aristotle has to much drama. To much politics. If I wanted politics, I'd go do some political thing (congress or something). Oops, started talking about me.

What I was trying to say is, maybe you should take a break from Ryzom. If not Ryzom, than maybe Aristotle. Or, you could always put those people you are always arguing with on ignore. I did that for a while-was quite...quiet :)

I wouldn't apologise to the gimps Jyudas I know from other forums what it's like when everyone starts taking pot shots at ya etc especially a pain when your stressed and they sense a little weakness, I just personally take a break from game/forum for a day or two.

I'd still say in general what you've said is right or certainly more right than your detractors arguments.

I'm not good at saying nice things or compliments (you'd never guess) but for what it's worth I think your good person and have the right views, move to cho for a break its less populated and aggrevating (kinda).

MrShad.

I'm certainly an idealist, I'm not so sure about elitist.

Expressing things different ways does, eventually, get the point through to most people.

If wanting Ryzom to be a game where everyone can play and get their jollies without impinging on each other is eltist, then fine, I'm an elitist but I don't see anything wrong with that.

Even where the 'rules' allow people to stick it to each other, them refraining from doing so would be a welcome change.
