[CHO] Server down

Exactly, i know it still says im on free trial but unfortunatly i have allready made a subscribtion and i also am stating to wonder if i did the right thing, plus i am stating to loose patience, it all very well other's saying this does not normally happen but that does not help,as far as im concerned its simple..
i have payed to play this game on this server, therefore i either expect to be able to play.....or if the server goes down for such a long period as this then i want a reason for it, we all know servers go down and having to waite for 3 or 4 hours is expected...but over 24 hours is taking the mick..

Yeah, but at least u THAN, will know.. it wont come up today. I think, a small notification of what is going on, would be a nice gesture to us, the paying players.

I deleted my Cho character and remade her on the other english server. I'll probably create another on Cho once it is back up, but for now I'm having fun, so no complaints here. I would like an update though, if possible, to see why it really crashed so suddenly.

"There are other English servers such as arispotle" I left the game in the beginning because of the rude unsocial people on that server, the only reason i came back to the game is to play on Cho, that is where my toon is and that is where i want to play. not arispotle, if it was there i would continue with my old toon or would have created a new toon on that server, but the fact is.. Cho is now my home

I can understand your frustration with the server not being up... but badmouthing others is a bit out of place.

DCP may be trying to make a different name for themselves in their new life on Cho, but while on Arispotle your guild WERE the type of players you claim to have been leaving behind.

Cho being down sucks for you, but anyone can browse and see that at least SOME people with rude and unsocial tendencies are no longer on Arispotle.

I just subscribed this week, and I must say that by this point, I'm not happy at all. I was very impressed at first by the amount of staff support offered ingame, but getting information through this whole debacle with Cho being down has been excruciating. I have played several MMO's and NEVER have I experienced two days worth of unplanned/unannounced downtime with such little information from the developers about when I could expect to play again. What's more, our subscriptions are running and no one has said a word about our time being refunded.

If this is the way things usually work with this game, I wholeheartedly regret subscribing. There comes a point when lack of service and/or lack of information regarding return of service is unacceptable. I think we've passed that point.

I've heard it said repeatedly that if the staff had information, they would give it to us. That isn't helping. For all we know, the people who are supposed to be fixing the problem have taken the weekend off. Waiting until midnight (yet again) for another official update saying something so vague as "we'll have it fixed sometime tomorrow" or worse, "we don't know" isn't instilling a lot of faith in new customers.

Id like to just say that informations of which ever sort is nt normally as bad as this, the game is a great game and the support is normally even better.
But unfortunately that seems to have vanished for some unknown reason over the last day or two. normally the support is spectacular, even if they have no idea what the problems are/is we would have something given to us.

Last nigth the title in klients was "re-booting" for over 8/9hours before it was changed, this doesn't normally happen. Its noramlly updated as soon as possibly as in changed to "down" or which ever. we had a post at like about 12 last ngith saying the server wouldn't be back up, yeah thanks for that, ( and i know i bugged ya'll ) but thats all we was asking for..

This game is one of the best MMO's ive played, its so addictive once you get into the swing of things, and the support is normally 100%
Thing is as much as i ***** about the server being down it is new and is likely to have these teething problems as would most new servers. i just need my ryzom fix, its like a drug and im just turning into a potato without it

Normaly if any hugh downtime we get the play time back, dont take my word for it in this case because obviously i have no idea what nevrax have planned
But to answer your questions. no this isnt the way the game normally gets run, its normally better then this and we normally get 100% information ( of some sort ) just unfortunately not at thsi point for some reason

I dont know excactly why u have to bring this in this thread. I have played from the beginning in DCP. Some things happen,.. but i also saw.. that when a DCP member does something..not meanted to happen, all start to moan, while same things happens to a non DCP member, no one says a word.. than " No Problem ".

Furthermore, i was on a long pauze, havent played Ryzom for a few months. Now, we are getting it together again on a new server. Yes a new server, we want to get up asap. And i am glad, we have chosen a new server, so i dont have to encounter ppl like u, there.

Hows it out of place when no names have been mentioned? like i said "rude" and "unsocial" my oppinion.

No, we are not trying to make a new name for our selfs since our guild is called DCP on there also, obviously spelt in another way since you cant clone Guilds. Our guild was not the type im claiming to have left behind at all, Ok we done some things, but nothing obviously way out of order or we would have been banned or punished.

People can browse yeah, but its down to them to take it upon thereselfs to make there own mind up of what they think of us. if we were so rude and unsocial why have we always had over 60 members? why was we once the biggest guild on arispotle? as i say, please dont try and make us look bad by starting some sort of flame, leave people to make there own mind up, and choose for thereselfs if we are rude and unsocial

Trying to justify this by mentioning a game that came out in March of 1998 I think it was doesn't do much to make this look better. Everquest was out during the early states of the MMO life cycle.

Personally, I think that one of the most successful MMORPGs of all time would be a good comparison. I could talk about any number of other games with the same problems.

Everquest 2, for instance, came out about the same time as Ryzom and is not half so stable. Ask anyone who used to play SWG about their experiences.

Some update would be nice... I have little desire to play on the other server and having just subscribed my account the day before the server went down I find this pretty disappointing.

please, no need to turn this into a dcp flamefest, this thread is for GM`s to converse to us Cho players about the server status. You getting me excited everytime theres a few new posts +1 vote for seperate cho section forums (again)
