There is no better race. Pick your race based on which you like the look of. There are no racial stats that would make one better or worse at anything. Within this game you can do any skill at all, all you need is the time to do it.

When you first get in game speak to the NPC that it directs you to and follow the mission. If you have quetions, ask them in regional or universe chat. I can't speak to the other servers but thus far Cho is a very kind place with wonderful players.

Same goes for Arispotle. I doubt you'll find a friendlier, more helpful community anywhere else. If anyone does know of a better community than this one, I'd like to know so I can go check it out.
