Specifically to avoid having every little thing that is discussed questioned by people who aren't even planning to attend or participate in organizing. I plan on posting the link to the forums I am setting up here, so those interested can head on over and get involved. No need to clutter the boards here with posts about who contacted who about what and so on. By setting up a seperate forum for the project, the planning committee will have more of an ability to keep the discussion on topic, and productive.

Any and all updates will be posted here, and those in the community that wish to be involved will be.

Greetings all,

Just wanted to throw an update here regarding IRL NA 2007. To better manage the organization of the project, I have put together a set of forums for general discussion, news and information, and for the coordinators to organize. Individuals interested participating through volunteer work or simply attending the event are welcome to the IRL NA forums as well.

I have submitted a request to Nevrax requesting any and all information regarding their requirements, interest, or potential support of the event and watching my email patiently for a reply.

In the meantime, those interested in participating in organizing the event are welcome to register on the IRL NA forums and post in the "Volunteer" forum.

As new information, updates, or questions for the community come up, they will be posted on the IRL NA forums as well as here on the official forums. I do not speak French or German, so interested parties are welcome to translate over to the other servers if you like.

It is my hope that even if Nevrax decides not to officially support the event, we will find enough interest and support from the North American players (and interested European players) and put the event together anyway.

Please keep in mind that the IRL NA forums are brand, spanking new, and we are in the very beginning stages of research. There isn't much there yet.

I beat Andarr with this update! LOL Andarr said that Nevrax had gotten back to him and that they were going to discuss the NA IRL sometime next week! So there is hope that the IRL might get the offical Nevrax seal of approval!!

We'll see how it goes. We may or may not get any information next week, the idea is in the very early stages of "let's see if we can do this". Nothing is in the works until we get the opinion of Nevrax.

*gasp* make it in CHICAGO! (or possibly New York?)i could find an excuse to go to Chicago easily enough, and transportation is SOOO easy - driving or bus - either way i can make it there no problem!

My 'possibly' vote would turn into a 'most definatly YES!' if it were somwhere like chicago.... but its COLD in chicago >.> we dont calls it the windy city for nothing... couldnt we wait till springtime?
