Is there any advantage using a Sword/Dagger dual weapon combo?

Only to get 1h and Close Combat exp at the same time

But seriously I dual wielded sword and dagger mainly for the above reason but tried dual wielding daggers and 2H sword as well and I've found that I could kill a mob faster with the sword dagger combo using ID (could be wishfull thinking on my part but until someone proves me wrong I'll stick to my sword n dagger )

So far I always used sword and dagger with ID2, then I switched to two handed and It seriously increased the damage
