A RoS "Guide"? Exist or needed?

On Silan, I'm kind of known for being a walking directory of information...

I started to compile an informational document, but I would not want to duplicate efforts. I already have a few "FAQ"s written down, or burned into my memory, from answering them several times a night. *grins* I have plenty to write if no one else has, and I'd be glad to.

I was curious to know if anyone's compiled a Guide/FAQ to Silan and its Quests & Quirks, as I like to call them, before I really set to work organizing my information?

Great! I was thinking of doing something similar myself, but more along the lines of "things you would probably like to know but wouldn't think to ask." I don't think there is a FAQ yet, no.

I dont think I could handle trying to guess what questions people wouldn't ask. *giggles* That might push me right off the edge of the island. So far, I have a complete write up on the NPCs and where they are, what they offer (missions and base information on quest rewards).

I'm *not* going to do a quest walk-through. That is just giving too much away. Steals the joy of discovery. But some quests have questions... such as: "I am in a team killing Weaned Rendor for the Magician quest, why aren't I getting credit?"

"How many javings do I have to kill?"

"Will new-born javings work?"

THE single most often asked question? "Where is the Fine Zun Amber?" For harvester mission #4 *grins*

Things like that.

Thanks Kibs! I actually *really* like the guides available on the website. I recommend them, and the in-game tutorial feature to people who seem to have a lot of questions. What I have in mind and have drafted up are sections like:

"Where is...?" A list of the NPCs of the camp and where they are, what they are for.

"What is...?" Flora and Fauna on the Island and what area they can mainly be found.

Would posting them here be alright, do you think? Something newer (I'm still a newb!) people will see when looking around...
