Amount of time between levels.

Post by malikg »

I really just want to get an idea of how much grinding there will be between levels for melee fighting? Range fighting? Magic? Harvesting? How much time is usually spent to gain a level in those in the 100s? 150s? 200+?

Thanks.

It depends on so many factors, the easiest skills to lvl with (in combat terms) are 2handed melee fight, elemental magic and heal magic. Some people have power lvled from 0-250 in these tree's in little under 3 weeks per tree, but normally i wud estimate it would take around 2 months of playing casually, as for harvesting and craft, harvesting the 4 race lands are alot easier than harvesting the prime roots due to agro mobs and weather paterns, craft is a simpler way of measuring how long, if you craft every mat you dig from lvl 0-250 in harvest you should manage to master (bring to lvl 250) 2 crafts.

Took me 2 months to get 2 level 201s(heal and 2h sword) and 1 level 250 (ele) back when I started... woulda did it faster if there had been cats back then :p But I wont use em now anyway. took me about a week or so to get from 210 2h sword to 250 when I finally got around to it... only thing that slowed me down was my refusal to use cats and finding a team :p ... only took me a few days to get from 25-123 in Desert forage... but I hate digging so thats where it still sits :p so can't really judge that one...Oh and I got 1h mace from 101-175 solo in 4 days :p (Granted that was only possible because of my high resist from ele helped keep me alive).

Done lvl 47 to 58 in 3hrs lastnight - this was off mag, being healed by a similair lvl deff mage

This includes one respawn, visiting trainer for 10 minutes and a 5 minute trek back.

I have no experience of the upper level range yet, but I can easily do 10 levels of harvesting, offensive magic or healing at around the lvl 100-130 mark. I haven't timed it but it took under an hour to get from lvl 129 to lvl 130 forage.

If you just figure it out numerically, since it seems like you get about the same # of XP for an "even level" kill (i.e. you are level 50 and you kill a level 50 critter), the way it works out is that you need about 1 more kill to level each time, than you did the level before. This is not exact but it gives you a rough estimate. At level 80, for example, I figure I need approximately 44 even-level kills to gain a level. At 249 it's something like 200. Thus it goes up by about 160 kills in about 170 levels.

Fifteen months and my highest level is 230, here. :p

Pretty much depends on how much you care about your levels and how much you work on them.

12 months and my highest level is 142 I measure time between levels in days or weeks (or months). Just never cared a whole lot about levels other than the "good" stuff one gets at certain levels, like double-spells!
