Question: Can I assign a hot-key to a tool or weapon so that it equips?

I was getting disarmed by them dammed Jarvin New-Borns and I'm wondering, is there a way to bind a weapon to a hot-key so that it equips?

Sort of a pain to go through my inventory to equip something I use often....

it took me forever to realize this...but...

If you left-click on the Hand Box(empty Box where your equipped weapon normally is) on the right and left of your Action Bar, you'll get a pop-up Menu that shows everything equipable for that Hand. then you can just click on whichever weapon you want to equip.
