Hello to everyone :)

For the first time, I actually wanted to come out and greet the community of one of my mmorpgs instead of hiding. There's really been nothing like my experience in Atys so far, and it's really impressed me. People are polite and kind, always chatting in the universal channel (is that correct?) and helping each other. It's quite a change from FFXI (where people mostly keep to themselves) and WoW (where the channels are all shout wars, trade, and LFG spam). It feels like a real *community*.

I've only played a couple days, but already it feels like something I'll be enjoying for a long time. I haven't felt such awe from something in so long, and I'm happy to relive my 'noobish' days when everything was wonderful and not just a big e-peen swinging contest. The planet itself never ceases to amaze me, and the nightsky always catches my attention (I find myself picking the perfect spot to view the stars every game evening, and I still squee when friendly yubos run over to get a look at me). I can't wait until I'm strong enough to see more beautiful sights like that...

This game has even spurred me into buying a better PC, which sadly isn't here yet ;_;. I always thought about it, but it ran FFXI/WoW fine and I never had a reason to change until now. I can't wait to see this game with all the graphics turned on high instead of as low as everything can go.

If anyone wants to chat or RP, sent a /tell to Sanura :) I'm always happy to meet knew people. Also sorry for the long post, I just wanted to say a few words... oh dear, I'm going to start talking again if I don't stop now...

Hiya as well =) I also am glad to see the end of e-peen days uggh!
I have only been playing a few days and have a lo to learn in game , but so far love the free form of it all!

Gonna have to look the word "e-peen" up, never heard it before. Ryzom on high settings is definately pretty.

e-peen is more or less online ego IE: my toon is better than yours I have all leet gear etc etc... quite sad really :P

nice 2 see more people coming 2 atsy hope u like ur stay there are som nice places and things 2 look at on atsy aswell need any help feel free 2 ask me when im online :)

Hi,

You'll love it on your new pc, looks great with all the settings up full, and it is indeed a great community :)

Quick word of caution regarding channel use as you've mentioned it - universe is the "help" channel for game related questions, and although the gm's can be somewhat slack at times when it comes to keeping it "on topic", they do occasionally pop their heads up and *cough* as a subtle reminder to keep it clear of general chat ;)
Bear in mind that even if you're on the free trial, anything typed in universe is seen by the entire server, subscribers included (hence why quite a few subscribers turn Universe channel off if it gets too "chatty"). Region is more appropriate for most stuff. Must admit that wasn't too clear to me when I first started the trial.
