Hello!

Post by frustro »

Thought I'd pop in and say Hi...might as well make a fool out of myself on the forum when doing such a good job of it in game ;)

Arrived on ML a few days ago and I must say I've been having a blast. It's quite the transition going from not fearing anything on the RoS Isle to being back to getting owned by ragus :)

Before coming here I've been trying out quite a number of different mmorpgs...the ones that stood out the most for me was E&B which was my first mmorpg and one that is sorely missed to this day. SWG (pre-CU), and most recently I've been playing CoH/CoV. I REALLY like Ryzom thus far and from what I've seen of the game I reckon I'll be here for the long run. I got the game a while back, but never really played it. Started it now when a RL mate I first met in SWG told me he was trying it out. It seemed easier to get started now with RoS.

I read a lot of good things about the community in this game before trying it out, and to be fair it didn't do the community justice...It's actually a lot better! The people I've met in this game so far have been almost unbelievably helpful and friendly.

I got invited to join the Legion of Atys which was a blessing since they're all a bunch of really cool, friendly, and...slightly insane bunch of players :) On my second day on the ML I got to join a trekk with 2 full teams across Atys to join the event on Zora. A few hours, and a completely ruined set of underwear later, I was standing deep within a bug hole surrounded by kitins in my ranger armor, popping kitin monsters for a mighty 15p of damage. It was all insanely fun and something I'm sure I will remember for years to come. Thanks Ulgar for arranging it :)

I also want to thank Ulani and the team Toramo got me into before the trekk...that was pretty damn cool as well..and that's 2 amazing memories from just ONE NIGHT worth of playing!

Finally I'd like to thank Mishra...one of the best examples of how the community here is just so much better and friendlier then any other I've seen...Keeps helping me whenever she runs into me with no benefit for herself whatsoever, and not just throwing a few heals my way as she runs past either...She really stops and helps out for as long as it will take.

The devs have really made a damn fine game with Ryzom...but it's you lot that makes up this community that really makes the game shine...I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time (probably too much) in Ryzom in the months and years to come.

Welcome Faustro

I had a blast playing with you! And the Scorched Corridor that the madman Ulgar and company trekked us through was REALLY scary! :D

Hehe...tbh...with a highest combat level of 37 there wasn't a critter seen on that entire trekk that DIDN'T scare me half to death...That said the corridor was definatly one of the more...unpleasant...areas, and when I thought I'd seen the worst of it we entered the bug hole :)
