Quick question: Numbers of active players?

There may be a lot fewer players here than in other games but those who are here are very social and helfpful. That's been my experience both on newbie island and especially when I popped in briefly on the mainland (Pyr) with an alt. In one week's time around Pyr, I got offers to group (with my lowly 20ish character), 2 offers to join a guild and one offer to visit an OP. That means a lot more to me than sheer numbers. Almost always, others were around. Admittedly, since I work at home I can play during the day (EST) when more Europeans are home from work and playing, I assume, as well as a few Americans and Canadians.

Some are not only social, but aggro too, especially at OP fights

This is not an exact science by any means, but judging by the activity on the forums I would guess the number of active players is quite low. I played Asheron's Call 1 at its inception, when the number of its subscribers was in the tens of thousands and the activity on the AC1 forums was very high, with dozens of new posts appearing by the hour. I've also recently come from Horizons, and the amount of new posts appearing on the main forums there is very low, on a par with SoR. Horizons has a very low subscriber count. Lucky to get more than 12 new posts/day on the General board there. Same with SoR.

As I said, take what I've just said with a grain of salt.

Don't use the SoR forums to gauge the population. There used to be a lot more traffic on the forums, but overtime we have worked ou most of the difficulties of the game.

Most of what happens happens in the game, not on the forums. Even when you see a sh*t storm of forum PvP (about PvP usually) there are only about 10 people who even bother to comment. Although they will go on and on arguing with one another for pages and pages of posts.

I would say our server has >1000 subscrived players. I only get on once a week though, and there are many others that have gone from 7 days a week to 2-3.

There are lots of folks around though from what I see when I am in.

I made it. All from homins that I've been in region since January or so. One could also gather names from those homins selling at the vendors, this website, guild websites etc.
