Well Hivewasp, I think I am old enough and mature enough to realise this isnt DAOC and have been playing MMORPGs for a long time.
People play an online game for a long time and get used to certain things and the next game comes along and changes these things. Sure, we all have to change with the times and I wholeheartedly agree with this scenario. But, some of the good things should remain to make that game more enjoyable and more like home. This will make people want to play.
i.e. Autosplit loot to stop loot monkeys
Being able to con a Mob properly
Something wrong with a Battlegroup chat to stop the clutter?
I bet you we see some of the changes as discussed on this board, some of them taken from other MMORPGs as the developers will see that these items are required to make the game more fun and more accessible.
Check it !!! Yes, I did know there was a sprint option to buy.
I really hope this game does take off but it has an uphill slog to do so with the other 2 MMORPGs coming out. The developers need to get their fingers out and sort some of the issues that are apparent at the moment.

I was mostly refering to stuff like the con system or dungeons. My main point was mostly that this game is nice because it is not daoc, and that it splits from the tracks followed by almost every mmorpg since EQ's release.
Just because we are used to some things doesnt mean we need them to enjoy the game better. You have some valid points about the game user-friendlyness, but please don't turn this into a daoc/eq clone with a different world

hmm thing is, they've taken out the dungeons of DAOC and the PvP realm battles and replaced them, only with the RAID system as far as I can see...
seeing as that's an infrequent occurence, I would have thought they would have gone overboard on other features to keep players' interest.
That doesn't seem to be the case.

Hello, I am hearing that you are doubling the creatures hitpoints and their damage. Why do this when you could fix the current problem by fixing blind spell. Currently you can fight naked in a group and kill 200+ mobs easily with the spell blind. Level 1 or level whatever it doesn't matter, they all work just as powerful & I'm never resisited. Lately we've been fighting alot of high level mobs in full groups just chain pulling them and we're all fully naked and we have 2 blinders keeping them blinded, they can't touch us. This one spell is the problem I really can't see why you'd need to double the hitpoints and damage of mobs if you just fixed this one spell.

I know you're adjusting magic, but since I cant get on the ATS I dont know the details.
But what I'd like is :
Bias casting towards the use of sap instead of health.
Fix the affliction spells, so that level 1 no longer effects everything.
Having sorted the affliction spells, allow them to become Area effect with links draining sap for each mob linked.
Allow Sap crystals to stack
Display the ammount of sap ina sap crystal
Allow Item icons to be given visible names, currently a sleep dagger looks identicle to a heal dagger unless you use [right click- info]
Please be very carefull trying to fix problems, most easy fix's cause more problems than they solve.

shields - currently the more info I get, the more I'm starting to think that shields are a total waste of time.
Typically, the idea of using a shield is to tank. Ie to be able to soak more damage than by using a two handed sword (with which you'd obviously inflict more damage)
It should balance out that a fight between a 2h sword specialist and someone with a shield and a sword is evenly matched. Ie the 2h sword specialist does more damage but that is absorbed by the shield to the point where they become equal and its down to pure luck (assuming they've focussed their SP appropriately). Otherwise whats the point in using them? If anything I could see it being better skewed so that shields are more effective - certainly not the other way around.
at the moment I seriously doubt that is the case as shields just don't seem to be that effective.
Suggested fixes:
Either massively increase the armour value of shields
Add a default parry modifier to shields, dependent on size, to vastly increase the bonus to parry

Packers - make them completely invunerable or healable or destroyable. I don't move my packer out of the stable as a dead packer is just no use to anyone.
Fix the follow me on packers - You used to be able to call you packer from anywhere (except if you are in an area reached by a portal) now I seem to have to stand next to it before it will come to heal.
The invisible walls - are still about are they a permenant feature?
When you sneak past a mob that is fight another - is it by design that the aggro mob will hunt you across an entire land if it wins the fight.
Tryker (Resting waters) - why are our internal portals guarded (Closed off) with heavy aggro mobs - We should be able to get in to the outer-lands.
May exisit already, but I haven't found how - promote to team leader in a group.

have to re-iterate the point about blind. I got this spell a while ago and have reached the point where i refuse to use it. It takes all the fun out the game when our group can fight mobs 50 levels higher without having to take a hit

Tried to swim from FH to Crystabell, and it's just impossible to get on some islands, just because you get blocked. I really would like it if you could make it work, because sometimes Its like, the land is under water and I still cant get in the water to swim or out on the island? I'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this, oh and maybe add the ability to raise yourself on the Tryker cities, bridges ETC. Would be nice if you'd do that
