Does this game have player housing and or towns?
Sorry, but search turned up nothing on this topic. So, im just wondering if there are, and if not, if there will be?
Player houses?
Re: Player houses?
There are no towns.
"Housing" is small, private, instanced apartments I believe... not houses out in the landscape or anything.

Re: Player houses?
well that sucks.....
I figured with the factional PvP and the centering around crafting that player communitys would be in.

Re: Player houses?
the existing towns are pretty big, and some such as fairhaven or Yrk are gathering points.
would possibly suggest trying to ignore the 'well that sucks' thoughts and not compare to whatever game you were playing previously and just see how things are here without any expectations..
ohh and welcome

Re: Player houses?
Its just somthing that i happen to realy enjoy in my MMO's.
can you decorate the apartments? Use them as shops? set up an NPC vender?
Also, are there clothing options or only armor? From what i can see there are technicaly only 10 sets of armor, 3 per race.
Is there anything other than armor?
Can your apperance be changed once in game?
What are the functions of the factions? land? PvP? or just story?

Re: Player houses?
Guess you're gonna be disappointed with this answer then: The key word here is "instanced". An apartment is really nothing more than a storage spot at this time. We've already submitted requests to allow multiple people into one's apartment, but at the present, it's just you.truce1 wrote:can you decorate the apartments? For a more accurate picture (no pun intended) of the armor/clothing choices, go here:Also, are there clothing options or only armor? From what i can see there are technicaly only 10 sets of armor, 3 per race.

Technically, it's all armor, but Light Armor is more akin to clothing than armor, really.
Hair and tattoo's, yes. The rest, no.Can your apperance be changed once in game?
PvP, yesWhat are the functions of the factions? land? PvP? or just story?
Land, not really (both factions have representation in all lands; some lands have more Kami representation and some have more Karavan)
Outposts, sorta, but doesn't have to be (i.e. the story says the outposts were opened up by the gods and we are to hold them in their name, but the mechanics of the game don't enforce that)
Story, yes
Teleportation, yes. The TP's are owned and operated by the gods and therefore, they control who they sell to. They both sell to neutrals at *some* TP's and to all of their followers and all of their TP's (with some limitations around fame level)
Fame, yes. i.e. how well do NPC's interact with you (friendly, neutral or hostile) may be influenced by which faction you and they belong to. It's more complex than that, but it does have an influence.

Oh hey, how do you do that? Change hair and tatoos in the game, that is? Is there a command for it, or do you have to go to a special NPC trainer or something?oldmess wrote: Hair and tattoo's, yes. The rest, no.
I'm thinking I might like to play with Sandaara's tatoos... I sort of picked quickly when I chose hers, and now I'm thinking I'd like to see the full set of selections to make sure the ones she has are the best ones for her.

Re: Player houses?
Can only be done on the mainland. There will be hairdressers and tattooer NPC's located somewhere in the capital of your race- and gladly style those for you at any time for a fee.chessack wrote:Oh hey, how do you do that?
