Basic Zun Amber

Can anyone point me to the general area for this? Someone in game told me "east of the ruins" but I prospected all over that area and never found any. :/

I regularly find Basic Zun Amber east of the ruins, so your directions are correct. Now to zoom in on the right spot... Most of the time it can be found if you go to the eastern buildings, and walk to the tree-line. Turn back toward the buildings from the first trees and try prospecting.

Some of this will depend on your skill. With my 40 degree, 5 meter basic prospecting, I almost always find it in this spot. It's mixed in with another resource there (wood of some sort? Can't remember) so you may have to do some wandering around, and also, if you have narrower angles/less distance it may be hard to find also. But that is about the right spot... keep checking in that general area and you should be able to find some (if it hasn't been recently exhausted by another player, which seems sometimes possible).

Ahh thank you, I was apparently looking *way* too far east :) I will try the area you suggested. Thanks for the info!
