I thought about taking this to another thread, but decided against.....

The KA was formed as a loosly organized group of gaming guilds...we had somewhat the same goals, somewhat the same direction. We had the aggreement to support each other before the tag "KA" was ever heard of.
We got a little more organized...

Part of our organization, quite honestly was due to the fact we were getting out butt kicked...it happened, dont deny it, and it still happens. (anyone that wasnt at the AP battle, pick up a newspaper...but damn it was fun)

We try to even things out, and whether you like it or not, if the Kami work together, they can be a force to be reconed with.

The KA, for all your partial quoting, and taking things out of contex is a group of people, not unlike your own after the same thing.....so what, we decide to add some excitement to our everyday lives and make our graphics cards work overtime....we can talk big...but as has been proved, ANYONE can lose.

I'm going to say it...get ready.......here we go....it is a GAME!

I admire, and RESPECT every single homin out there(except the one i mentioned last week)...you dont beleive it, tough cookies. My opinion is it's own, and does NOT reflect the people of our guild. I can not, however, step away from the fact that I am a guild leader, i have a headache that these forums have given me to the point i cant log in to check on people in my guild, whom i'd do whatever, RL or GL I'd need to do.

The KA is not the problem, it is a group like any other....a forum where we go to discuse things....you have access it seems, then look to the WHOLE story

lexi44 wrote:What it boils down to is most of the server's guilds *can't* declare on an OP they might actually want to take...just for pvp's sake, or just for fun...because "omg" it's an Alliance-held OP. So, if they want to actually have an OP battle then they have to declare on those that are already somewhat oppressed by the huge Alliance (again, please don't anyone take this personally, it is just a general observation of mine)....but of course, not those that have been "friendly" to the Alliance either. So we get down to there are only about 2 or 3 OP's out of ALL of them that can actually be declared on without the entire server going into a downward spiral.
If they don't take (or try to take) KA outposts they are fighting themselves in a loosing battle and wearing themselves out, and makeing it easier for KA to take all outposts. I say attack the outpost you want if you can, it is why they are there.
lexi44 wrote:What I'm basically saying is that OP's aren't even "FvF" anymore....they have gone beyond that....they are "AvNA" (Alliance vs. Non-Alliance). I see this as a major problem. Because of this, guilds are "afraid" to declare on another guild's OP (even though that *is* what OP's were designed for). Now, because of *this* a lot of players are getting bored because not only have they done all the current PvE that's available, but they can't even really do the GvG/FvF "new content". And it's alllllllllll because of one word: Politics.
Guild relations and alliances have always been about politics (among other things) nothing new there. Outposts were even supposed to be influenced by politics, so the KA are not really doing anything new there.
Politics should be part of the game, it would be less alive without those relations to strengthen and weakening bonds between guilds.
lexi44 wrote:Since I don't like to point out what I see as problems, and not offer any ideas for solutions, here is what I think could be a solution...

I think the Karavan Alliance should disband (dons her flame-retardant suit). Not out of dishonor or anything BAD....I just think maybe several *smaller* Alliances could form and Atysians could go back to having some fun. I would venture to guess that not *everyone* in the Alliance has the exact same ideals, so maybe if you broke off into smaller "splinter groups" that truely do have the "same mind", then there could be even more happiness throughout.
Why should they stop? They are playing the game as they want to. I will even go so far as to say they are playing the (politics) game right, with the war between the factions and current event/story lines they are playing along with what have been laid down.
You are right that they probably don't all have the same ideals, but part of politics is also to find a common ground and fight for that, and they have "join us or you will loose your outpost".
If you oppose the KA you should seek out likeminded guilds and homins to join forces. The KA is only strong if you keep yielding to it, and if the KA isn't broken by internal fights.
The KA have arrived as the new big warrior and hasn't really showed if it can survive on the battle field intact (with all due respect), fight it, ignore it, join it, do what you must. But don't give up before the battle have started.

It goes for any alliance (even if not stated as one). It is about friendship, common goals, trade and politics. It will strengten you and yours if you believe in it.

I dont have access and I don't want it...As it stands I'm not so sure we could have won without the help of the Kara that helped us..if they had been on the other side we would have been outnumbered really bad I think..

My time in this game is slowly coming to its end...soon none of you will see "Redslayer" in Ryzom ever again and ill cancle my sub ...I have my reasons for this and its not time to tell them ... But I will say I do NOT like the way the game has changed It's my opinion so plz don't Question it or argue it....Because that will only make my feelings more concrete.

I love this game and..When my time is here ill remember all the good times I had and i'll mis every friend I made .. I'll even miss the peeps that annoy me at times..you know who you are im sure..I'll miss you all ..but untill then lets Stop the Flaming and HF....Please....Let me enjoy whatever time I have left on Atys..

Note to all kara and kami alike...I have no hard feelings with anyone if iv done something ingame or out to affend anyone please send me a tell on yahoo(True_redslayer@yahoo.com)or MSN(True_redslayer@hotmail.com) And I'm sure we can come to terms..Or wait till i come back ingame and send me a tell (ill announce my return ingame on the saga forums in the same thread I left on "is this the end")

you'd be very surprised Lien how hard it is to get any support for an offensive action on the Kami side of things, and without it there is little (no) point in making the declaration... which only serves to increase the perceived power/threat of the KA.

the politics are interesting for sure, rushin has got a bit bored of them and is having a little sleep :)

Hope you all sort it out :p

well every time i go and play Ryzom . the other players are always polite and very very helpful both kami and karavan . there are still peep out there hunting ,digging doing missions .exploring, PvP and PvE just talking to friends,in General they are all having a good time and wouldnt want to be anywhere else but on that Damn planet...i think the false declarations have to be stoped, but other wise i like the whole OP thing. think about , its a goodthing that OPs have changed hands and they will again, that way the wealth does spread. so keep up the good workand if you lose a battle or OP, its not the end but the begining..... :)

Maybe things have changed, maybe some people have stepped up and said 'ENOUGH'.

In the last 4 days there have been more Kami/Neutral attacks on Karavan guilds than I can remember...however (and I do NOT speak of APs initial call to arms, for thats what it was) you have not seen a big todo about anyone, including PF being attacked.

Now I see, after all the hell everyone, Karavan, Neutral, Kami has been through this past week, that Nexus, a Karavan guild by name, has attacked OV's outpost in Loria. I am not calling for a stand down, I am not calling for any kind of support that wouldnt be there already...I for one will be there on the side of OV.

Now throw the KA name out there...throw the fact that we came together and tried to make decisions as a group, If i werent the leader of PF as a guild, and trying to represtent THEIR beliefs as fairly as I can as a majority, I would still be a member of this organization as an individual. As an alliance member, we as a guild have our own thoughts, our own beleifs, our own opinions. If we do not aggree with what the KA decides as a whole, the we have the right to pick our own paths..something that was never shown in all the KA posts that were cut and pasted. More than one guild chose to stand down from the AP battle, that are official members of the KA. This is not looked down upon, and as there are many single member guilds also privy to the KA discusion...they have their own minds, not only as guilds, but as individuals. We are NOT an evil force, we are a group of guilds that try to share information and make decisions, much more than is represented here.

I know I may have mixed topics a little bit here, my apologies for that...I did not intend to...but when it comes down to it, the KA is nothing more than any other alliance on this shard....maybe just more noticed because of the direction we take. We are still learning too.

The tides will (or have) change(d), power always shifts from one side to the the other over time. The ones who said we are 'all powerfull', well, you beleive what we wanted you to believe.

As my original post stated i do not think the KA is evil..And I hold no grudges even on PF for attacking my guilds OP...If thats how you want to play the game ...whatever thats your choice to make not mine ... However your choices DO effect others plz keep that inmind(to everyone not just the KA)..
And if kara take all OPs then most kami will leave game I bet...

KA is not evil..Some choices may be seen that way but I don't think so..
I have many kara friends I couldn't post all the names but they know who they are..I know I may have repeated a few things in this post but this is what I think..

I'm not sure who you were replying to when you wrote this. But just in case is was me....

First, I didn't do any "partial quoting" and I didn't "take anything out of context" - except in direct reply to Sprite, and I explained why I did that.

Secondly, I do not have access to the KA forum...never have (despite my being an OV Officer), and never will (no longer in OV nor associated with the KA at all). I was told I was not on a "need-to-know" basis. That didn't bother me then and doesn't bother me now...I trusted those in OV that did have access to speak for our guild. :)
