what happened to all the posts about Samsara's OP?
Re: what happened to all the posts about Samsara's OP?
yup i understand your point - but i dont think the challenge was made on the basis of lets do it because we can. there are lots of reasons why OV or the KA wudnt want an outpost going up for auction. One of the most obvious and most recent wud be the fact that the other night the karavan took MoVs outpost. So it would be somewhat self defeating to let them walk into another outpost unchallenged. I dont know i think people are just to damn sensitive about these things, everyone talks about respect and so on and so forth. There are plenty of people i respect in game. And there are plenty that i dont. One from the first category happens to be in samsara, but im afraid i still back OVs decision (personally). I just cant understand people getting all het up about something that ultimately doesnt matter much, especially seeing as samsara are willingly handing over the reigns. Meh what do i know. I just wish we could all get along at not getting along lol

Yeh i understand your point, BUT ... OmegaV didnt want it going to another Kami Guild, so they thought it would be easier to declare war and take the OP to save time, the quicker its taken the quicker the samsara can stop PvP.norvic wrote:Rundll I know you like to PvP and you know that I enjoy it too, all I am saying is the Sammies wanted to do somthing abit different because of the circumstance they find themselves in.
This would not have hindered any further OP PvP and better Judgement I beleive would have been shown by letting them do it rather than stomping on the idea just because its possible to do so within the mechanics of the game.
Another Point - The samsara mention OmegaV being greedy, asking 200million for the OP is greedy isnt it?

Re: what happened to all the posts about Samsara's OP?
I feel it would be better served if the passion, and hate felt, that people are putting into their posts, should go into their actions instead. (and i mean in a non griefing way)
If you feel hatred towards someone for declaring on you. Then put that hatred into your plan of defence. Make that hatred drive you to defend what you own.
Same if you feel passionate about the attack, make the passion drive you in your battle, drive you to succeed.
The fact remains, that post all day long, you are not going to change anyones mind on things, and thats a day you have lost planning your attack/defense stratagies with your allies, or even out getting that little bit stronger with levelling.
Karavan or Kami or nuetral, if you dont want your enemy to have the advantage, then fight on the battlefield itself, dont waste words here, when they are better spent on planning.
The arguments are going back and forth, with no results, and no other outcome than "im right" "no, i am".
Fight it out in the GAME. Coz thats what it is. Sit back, breathe deeply, go make a coffee, come back, and plan your next move. End of the day, this OP attack is still happening, no matter the post count that rises. How it turns out, will be decided by who's plan works.
Thats all im posting on the matter, coz i got a million plants with my name on them, and ive probably lost about 20,000xp by typing this

Re: what happened to all the posts about Samsara's OP?
Hiya Run..me and you have had many good times together digging in FF, and we've had many good times killing eachother too. The problem we both are having here is it's hard to see eachothers points in all of this. This goes a lot deeper than the attack on Samsara and really it goes deeper than any OP attack. I agree with you 100% that they are meant to be fought over..the problem as i see it is that theres a group of guilds that are too powerful, and are trying to impose their own set of rules to PvP here. look at the "yrk shielding act"...the group of karavan that wear thier tags stated that if a kamist came into their homeland looking for a PvP fight, they would not only risk being heavily outnumbered, but also risked losing their OP due to such actions. still this is all fine, but the KA side is so big that the underdogs are left with only 2 choices: keep playing the PvP game as presented to us and have a good laugh while doing battle with the enemy, but risk the enemy getting so upset over it that they gotta gang up on them and bully them out of all the new content, and possibly the game. Or humbly sit back and only engage the enemy when they sy its ok to..under their rules and terms.rundll32 wrote:we can see past that - we just cant understand how peolpe can whinge about having their op declared on when they choose to own one. So samsara want to give it away - having it taken from them is just the same. and HELL it might be more fun than just giving it away! because maybe just maybe the pvpers enjoy pvping...
This is where its hard to see the others POV..you must think after reading this that i'm just whining again and if i feel outnumbered then i just need to organize better, but try for a while to put yourself in someone elses place. Say you didn't have a big alliance behind you and all of a sudden 18 guilds decided that one of their friends would be a better occupant of your OP. Where would you possibly muster up the support for such a defense? you would feel bullied and would be up in arms about how unfair it was. Now if you had your OP challenged by say, the Samsara and they came alone to do battle with your guild, who was alone, that would be a fight that would be both entertaining, and fair. It would be the best guild wins, not who has the most lvl 250 friends to just power their way into what they want....and that is the issue that i'm bringing up..not individual attacks

Heh, well I'll keep wearing that helmet a while yet then.rundll32 wrote:nah u cant flame me with that daft helment of urs
i understand ur point in so far as u were leaving ur op to escape pvp...
but then u dont have to turn up to defend it do you
The issue is that we were trying to make a point. And some just couldn't let that happen. I am kind of glad it brought all this to a head though. This has been coming for a long time, and it had to hit sooner or later.
I was gonna say something else, but I think there is a different thread more suitable for that.

thank you Souls..the imbalance is the true nature of the problem here..and i'm sure 99% of those posting here will agreesoulsnatcher wrote:Yup I've seen that shot - but edited it to keep this as clean as we can.
Well moral wrongs and rights of this are one thing. But it seems that core mechanics may have opened up some imbalances when more than one group of people is involved.
Re: what happened to all the posts about Samsara's OP?
It's this attitude of "if it can be done within the mechanics, it must be the right thing to do so we're going to do it and we don't care how anyone else feels about it" that's causing a lot of the hostility and childishness, I think.

Asked for "Best Offer". I never stipulated it had to be alot of money or mats or anything. Someone could've started the bid at 5 dappers at dinner at the Yubo's Leg.danlufan wrote: Another Point - The samsara mention OmegaV being greedy, asking 200million for the OP is greedy isnt it?

If your being bullied then level, train, develop and come back bigger, stronger and better than before.
Wasnt it Kami who bullied Kara before, yet kara got up got bigger and stronger and took back over!
This only drives Kami to train harder, but i can tell you now they wer not outnumbered earlier in there attempt to take an OP.
