What the devs need to do is place Kami Guardians at the portals and you gotta be a certain level to get into the Prime Roots. And yes they should be dangerous since it is the kitin's home but it's *nearly* impossible as is for harvesters. However, I haven't been in this morning so I don't know how they changed stuff with the patch.
As has already been brought up by others here, perhaps the intentions of the developers are being misinterpreted here. It is my impression, based on what background story I can read on the website and in the game, that the game will probably be highly centered around guilds once the story line goes live (guild quests etc.).
I think the apparant easy access to excellent and supreme (cannot vouch for this, still rerolling alts at low levels
) may have wrongfully spoiled a lot of people who seems to take top of the line items for granted even at levels below 100, and are now believing this is the way it should be (and perhaps it really is - I am not employed by Nevrax).
Perhaps the materials that are found in the Prime Roots were in fact meant to be "rewards" for great guild (or other group) team work at high levels, where a number of people work together to protect the harvesters of the guild while they do their job.
All of this is pure speculation of course, but given the recent increase in diffuculty I get the feeling that something along those lines may be the original intention. Of course I am sure there is still plenty of future balancing coming.
Usually I do not bother engaging in forum threads that have all the potential to turn into flame wars, but I took a chance this time since I honestly feel that the original poster and a few more may be severely misinterpreting some of the plans for the game.
Or maybe I am. I probably should have kept my mouth shut as I usually do on those subjects
