Just because you lean towards Kami doesn't mean you must play a Zorai or Fyros character. Your choices of race, cult and civilization are independent.

Makes you kinda of wonder what's going on here? All the Karavan pictures I've seen they all have masks on. Maybe they all look like us (real life humans)?

Strange indeed.
there was something in the original Lore about Jena being Human.. thats right H U M A N.
No idea if its been kept with the revisionist history thats being used to justify the PvP and FvF stuff.
All the conflicting claims about who created what first does seem to indicate otherwise.

Hi Jamela,

Hmm, ok. I was thinking if I picked a race, than I was stuck with one way or the other. I like the Fyros, I just can't stand the sideburns! :) I wish I could remove them.

I'll be honest, I'm a fan of technology, but I'm not to keen on being subservient to anyone. I guess I need to read up a little more on the history and such.

Thanks again,

Ok, well, that explains it.

Incidently, can I play this game without getting ganked in PvP? I'm not really into it much, although I'll admit, it does get your blood pumping!! In WoW, it seems to come down to who has the best gear and usually its the higher-level characters assuring their wins by picking on the lower-levels. Not much fun. Who wants to lose all the time.

Yes it is entirely possible to play without being killed once by another player.

Some of the Prime Roots zones are pvp / gvg areas so if you wanted to be entirely pvp free then you should steer clear of those areas... however you probably won't be ganked often, i dont even think i have been ganked yet.

Also the current outpost content involves some quite heavy fighting.

That sounds good. I'm open to trying PvP, just want it to be when I choose and not when I'm fighting something PvE and down to a smidgen of health!

Following the Kami way is no different from the Karavan way in being subservient to someone.

If you truly wish to not be subservient, you need to go the neutral way - factionwise. Beware though, your road to neutrality will not be straight and wide. It will be curvy, difficult, and bumpy. (Read you will be limited in some of the things you can do, as the neutral road is not an easy one.) Neutrality is questioned on the forums daily(your neutrality could be questioned too), and in-game as well, though less frequently.

As others have said, your race does not dictate your religion in anyway. Although, technology is tied to the karavan.

True, I don't want to be subservient to anyone because they say I must!

I guess we can always act like we are subservient... :)

Incidently, what does the quote imply "Beware of the skeletons in fur"?
