Why doesn't SoR (or any other MMO) have an economy? Simple, because supply always exceeds demand.
Diggers need to dig to lvl, crafters need to craft to lvl and in doing so they produce large quantities of tradable items, more than is needed by the population of the "world". To make matters worse almost everyone on Atys is a crafter and a digger, what kind of economy were you expecting? I don't need to buy your stuff, I can dig/craft it myself it's not like the mats are rare or anything....
