Rumours in the Desert

“Greetings Homins, I am hoping that you can spread some light on the strange rumours that have come to the ears of the Marshals. These concern Homins disappearing without trace, attacks on wayfarers and some wild stories of the emergence a cult that worships the Great Dragon.

I have been tasked with investigating these untoward occurrences, and I should be grateful if you could post here any information you may have unearthed over the last few days, so that we may ascertain exactly what is happening and put en and to the speculation.

Aqua told me of these attack she heard while in Pyr, homins were talking about it. A homins vashised from Pyr and no one saw her leave, all they heard was a scream and then total silence. The guards found no one at all. This sound likes that Halloween tale i heard, the one about the mad doctor.

Aqua's scared to go back to Pyr with all these rumors going around. What's going on there?!

since the southgate snatcher many homins have stayed away from that part of town causing the pyr bath houses to go into dissrepair. a few weeks after the missing homins wer found i visited teh bath hoses but was put off ever visiting again. as i entered i found a yubo floating in the water.

a few days ago, however i was walking past the pyr baht houses and a kind young woman ivited me to take a bth in hte newly restored bath houses. i was all dusty from a hard day digging so decided to see if anythign had changed so in i went. things had changed greatly. the place had been put under new managment and the bathouse girl was most pleasant and passed me some korin oil lotion to sooth the kincher bites as i too a warm dip in the bath.

we got chatting and i soon discovered that rumours of few homins dissapearing had been circulating. 'you get ot hear alot from people workign in a place like this' she offered. as we discussed thes rumours we speculated that perhaps the palace was not informing the populace as not to cause a panic. she aslo mentioned that the ubductees were not fyros born 'which makes my mother feel a little safer me comming to pyr to work'. we chatted for a long time abotut various other things and soon lost track of time. 'oh my' shs exclamined, ' i shoudl have closed up and been home hours ago'. i quickly dressed and offered to walk her back home to the leviers camp as she seemed tather scared to walk the streets of pyr alone.

are these rumours true? who knows.. but somethng rather odd is going on in pyr and i for one woudl like to know what it is

The other evening I was helping a friend choose a wedding dress from her tailor and the curious old men appeared asking us to buy him some grubs at the local bar in Pyr. We took a liking to this old Beggarman for he was very witty. I promised I would get him a hot meal and some firewine after we were done. Few hours later I met and sat with Beggerman in the bar by Oasis Fountain Square. I asked him were he was from and he said from everywhere since he has no home. He told me he usually finds a quiet corner around Southgate Road or Aripostle Avenue, and that is where he sleeps. I felt bad for the old men; he wore no shoes, had on frayed clothes and was in need of a good bath. But his mind was sharp and one could even consider him well educated. He reminded me of my father who often seek comfort in a pitcher of ale.

We talked for what seemed hours and during our chat he told me a story, a story of the Dragon that sleeps and how some are seeking to find it. I don’t know if what he told me was true, but he was scared to speak of such tales, and often whispered his words which made it hard to hear in such a crowded room. I haven’t seen the old man since that day. I am worried that something might have happen to him since now there are rumors of homins disappearing. I do hope he is well. If anyone sees him, please buy him a meal, for he is harmless and that is all he seeks.

To add to all this, now a well known Hawker is missing.

Aethus Abygrian, is a well known Hawker, mostly because alot of new visiters to Pyr from Fyros Island end up seening him one way or the other.

I've been good friends with the guy, because i know all his usual hide outs, I often take people too him. But his gone... and I mean no where to be found.

Now i don't want to alarm anyone, I mean this isn't the first time his just uped and gone.. there was this time he wanted to marry a Zorai Women.. but this is different.. this time no word.. no message.. no warning.. normally I'd have some idea he was leaving Imp Dunes. Still.. maybe his off on another adventure and just forgot to tell me or anyone else... but if they took Arthus.. he must of known something.. i mean this is the guy that won't take a step into Pyr.. likes to stay at the outposts mostly.. so maybe it's all tided.. maybe it's now.

But Homins.. don't over react.. something has happen on Emperial Soil and it will be fixed.

IC: Yes he has returned.. but isn't saying anything... it's strange.. I've never known him to close up on me.. but something is up.. not sure.. tho.. maybe he knows something.. when i mentioned the missing homins he claimed to not know anything.

Still.. maybe his met another girl lol.. and doesn't want anyone to know... or his up to something.

OOC: Come on Sprite think i don't know that? I'm ment to be learning everything right now.. to pass on info BTW for hawkers... it's actually 2 to 4 days.. not whole seasons *which can last 5 days*

And yes they do move around.. but this hawker went missing.. trust me I know all his spots like i said... I have had to find him many times, as he is part of the "welcomer" quest for Pyr.. and so alot of newbies need to find him.
I put in a ticket and was told his bugged

Anyway, just wanted to say that's why it fits (well did fit until he got fixed) the story.
