Amen! This is the very reason I joined Defenders Of Zoran.

Some players want to be in a smaller guild while others may wish to join a larger guild. As in real life, bigger is not alwyas better. Size is not the judge as to quality of a guild and I surely hope that all guilds, regardless of size, would join in the fun and make an appearance (even if only a single member is sent).

Your making a very big assumption that all guild officers claim how mighty their guild is. Maybe some are very straight forward and honest.

Seems like you guys have some kind of agenda or dislike for people involved. I'll kindly ask you to take it elsewhere.

This was a fun event for all open to the public. If you choose not to attend that is your choice, but you shouldn't harrass or smear those who do.

Certain of our fellow Zoraï feel that we should not have any dealings with the other homin nations despite the fact that it was our people's isolation that was a large cause of our downfall before the kitin hordes.

Raynes was a member of Comitatus Praetorian who found that his own views did not mesh with those of the guild and so left. All I can say is that I hope he's happy where he is.

No, no agenda. I did tell everyone they were welcome to go if they chose too.

Funny how the truth gets twisted. I was a member of CP for a very short time. While I was a member CP announced an alliance with a Tryker based guild. Upon hearing this I asked the following question: "Why do we have an alliance with a group that the Zorai have a negative faction with?". The answer was "That's a good question". Upon further discussion of why the Zorai have a negative faction with the Trykers, the answer given by the leader of CP was "I don't know". So CP was making choices about their alliances and their future without any idea of the past or reason behind things.

That was part of the reason I left. There is a bigger part though. I had brought up that question and the discussion that followed in roleplay type fashion. I was told not to discuss it in guild chat, but instead to post it to their guilds board. I figured if I can't roleplay in the game, then I had no desire to be a part of such a group.

***Edited for historical error***

Might I remind you that the very reason why the Kami left the Trykers and came to the Zorai was because of our isolation and our quiet ways. It is what makes us unique and it is what makes the Kami want to be so close to us. The Zorai who rush into opening our borders are risking pushing the Kami away. Of course that would require certain Zorai to learn history instead of ignoring it.

I stand corrected. That is indeed the case. Taken from http://ryzomvault.ign.com/?dir=guidebook&content=races

History

The Zorais have long segregated themselves from other homin in the jungle region known as Zoran. The Zorais built mysterious cities that were centered on the Goddess Jena, with elaborate temples. Because they were secluded by the goo infested jungle, they were able to build a civilization with a strong force. They began to expand their dynasty under the Cho rule, and sought to house their growing populations. While they were setting up they got a glimpse of all the other homin civilizations. Disgusted with their interracial wars, and destructive natures, they set up a great wall separating them to protect them and keep the other races out. They developed their own form of writing, and dedicated their life to enlightenment. But all their knowledge and strength did not protect them from the slaughter of the kitin that swept through them. It was this time when the developed a close relationship with the Kami, and genetically sowed the mask of kinship to their faces. It was during this time that they, with the help of the Kami, built magnetic temple-cities. Zorais have since gone back into the jungle to the goo so that they can reclaim their former enlightenment.

Now having read that how can my fellow Zorai justify setting up alliances and befriending other Homin races? Our ancestors understood the strong need for isolation why all of a sudden are they wrong and new Zorai refugess right?

Does not the sun shine upon homin and yubo alike? Does not the rain fall the same? So too does the kitin horde and the confort of friends regardless of the color of their skin or the measure of their stature or even the land upon which they are born. If you wish to RP old hatred, you are entitled to do so. I am happy for open doors and hope one day all homins can live in harmony, the kitin do not fight among themselves, you do the math.

That said, I wish I could have been there to see the event.

The views of the Pilgrims of Atys are justified in many places and one is not constrained to follow the lemmings of society. As much as I've seen you ranting in region chat raynes, I really have to ask what kind of roleplayer are you? In this thread and in region chat you seem to just be more of a troll.

That said you were kindly asked to take it elsewhere. Please observe the topic and if you want to rant about how much you hate your old guild, please start your own thread for it and stop cluttering legitimate events for people who really want to be involved in the world of Atys.

First of all don't question my type of play or my roleplaying abilities in game. You have no business doing so. Second of all a coment was made directly about me. As such I have every right to respond to it. You don't want me to "clutter" your thread, then make sure people don't say things specifically about me.
