Noob player finds New Home

Hi all
Im new to Ryzom heving played just two days now,But I think i found my New home.
Im coming over from Lineage 2,having played sence closed beta.

I love the rich & inter-active envioments.
on my first day of play i got rained on,
saw mice scury about,looked at lightning in the distance,
& was swarmed by little twerly bugs.
(in lineage 2 the only mobs are ones you kill & it never rains)

I love the NO Fixed Class skill tree,I can be what I want to be ,it all
depend's on me.
(in lineage2 I had 7 diffent Chrs. becouse i got bored or wanted to try
somehting else so none got realy high level)

The peolpe are the nice most friendly ive ever seen in an online game.
In two days of playing ive been given amps,a helm & a realy nice pike.

(in 1 1/2 yrs of playing lineage2 ive given many things to noob players
armor,weapons,gold & mats.but the ONly thing given to me we,re some mats
by a fellow clan member.)

Ive only played two days but I allready feel wecomed to this new world.

My ingame chr. is a matis by the name of "Nixx"


P.s. i had a question: i wanted to start taking screen shots of my new adventure.
is there a way to move the camera about & not move my chr too.

i don´t comment about your choise to be a matisian,
just allways remember "Blue is Beautiful" lol, anyway:

about screenies, well with ctrl+F10 u get .jpg with shift+F10 .png format,
the moveing of Camera is ether done with:
numpad 1(turnleft) or 2(turn right),
the pageup/down moves the camera to top/below view and with, i think,
ctrl+pageup/down(could be shift tho) u can move the
viewpoint above/below your toons head
or u could use the leftmousebutton to move freely ,
there is also a menu for freemove if u rightklick on a free space onscreen.

btw, if u don´t want the HUD windows, with shift+F5 they vanish/appear

Greetings made! Welcome to our world.

If you press 'k' you will get the 'keys' window. In the list you will see all of the functionality that is standardly available. You can change any of these. In addition you can click the new key button in the upper right I believe and it will allow you to make a new key and an assocaited funtion. (Using this will help you understand the possibilities.) In addition there is a macro ability.

If you are into movies as well look through the patch notes as they patched in the ability to set a camera path and then repeat the path. This way you can setup the fly path and then record.

I hear that in the help there is a new interface tuturial that could help you out a lot as well.

P.S. Like Jayce said, send a /tell if you have questions. And figure out how to use the 'User' window for all of the chat.... except maybe the system info stuff.
