Ok I think I know most of the basic commands and I have been playing for about 1 weak now. I would like to know what the most popular way to make money is. And how do you teleport to other arias in the map. I really don't like the aria I'm in.

1 - digging
2 - travel there overland and buy a teleport ticket.

You can find the area you are in by pressing M to get up your map! if you zoom in a bit u will see regions with their borders marked by dotted lines. wherever your arrow is indicates whereabouts in that region u are!

In order to get around more efficiently teleporter tickets are needed, they cost 12,500 dappers a go. To get one you need to find (within a region marked by dotted lines) the karavan or kami teleporting altars. you can find these teleporters in all towns!

Digging/crafting is the fastest way to get cash and lots of it!

Making money in part depends on what you want to do most. If you want to level up your melee and/or magic then you can sell the materials that creatures leave when quartering. If you dont mind learning how to harvest effectively then digging up materials for sale is good. If you really want to learn to craft then you either need to find free materials from someone (not likely but it does happen) or dig them yourself and then sell your produce. Buying mats to make things to craft with is a really good way to lose money.

If you are really serious about making money then also do missions that will improve your fame with the primary race of the area you are in. This improves the amount that npcs will pay you for things, and reduces how much they charge.

If you have left the newbie island then as grimjim says you need to walk there first. I am presuming you haven't joined a guild yet as a guild trek is usually the easiest way to arrange to get to other areas. Guilds do help non guild members, particularly those that are un-guilded, so ask arround you might find you can join a trek. Not so many on right now due to the sanctuary and temple building but they are happening. You could try posting in the general forum if you have a particular place you want to get to, and see if anyone would help you.

There are people that have managed to make long treks on their own at low level, but it is hard, takes time, and you would need to do a fair bit of research e.g. at the Ballistic Mystic guild website (http://ballisticmystix.com/index.jsp). It is however an achievement of note, and one to savour if you do manage it.
