The Lost Tale Chapter 6 Orb of LIfe part 3

Post by legokid »

This is the last part of Jena's tale about the Orb of Life. This was painful to write when i read the last part of the amber cube. Even now tears still fill my eyes when i learned the painful truth about my past life.

As i wrote this the amber cubes glowed wildly as if they were alive, i dont sure why tho. Im starting on the next cube and i hope this cube will have the answers about the strange attack on the zoria and how Le'Sinta and Le'Sindo and the other got their powers.

When they came through the portal they saw the most mystical place ever. Buds that looked like water, flower with petals that had designs of mystic symbols. Trees that dripped the purest water ever tasted, berries that exploded with flavor, breezes that were so pure you could feel in it in your soul. Every one was in aw as they walk through the forest and the karavan hadn’t seen such mystical things.

Little did they know that an evil has awakening and it was going to send Ayts and everything on it into eternal darkness. They walk on till they found a clearing where they could setup camp. It was long before dusk but they thought to setup camp then explore this wonderful place. They all went their different ways the trykers to the west, zoria to the south, fryos to the east and the matis to the north. The karavan stayed behind to watch over the camp and study these to life forms. The forest was beyond words for any homin to describe herb that could cure poisons, a water fall that’s beauty could take your breath away. Everything was fine until the sound of blades slashing against each other pierced the air like a dagger. The sound came from where the fryos and matis were the zoria and trykers set off at once they knew that the fryos and matis alone together spelled fighting. They were right when they got to the clearing were the sound came from was a matis and a fryos dueling in close combat. Before they could get close enough to swing a wall of ice shot from the ground stopping them, the matis and fryos look to see what made the wall and saw annoyed zoria and trykers. The matis explain that the fryos found materials that made great blades and they wanted to try them out.

The zoria and the trykers grinned at each other ran over to areas where the materials some even tripped over each other. The sound of weapons being crafted echoed through the thick forest as if it was cutting its way through the woods. The noise stopped not long after it started, but others sounds soon followed the sound of laughter, cheers and the clashing of blades against blades.

By the time that the twilight covered the sky many homins were laying on the grass watching the twilight swirl. Le’Sinta lay on the ground looking his new dagger; he held the dagger up the sky so he could see the twilight reflected off its crystal like surface. He loved to watch the twilight colors swirls and mix. But something was bothering the homins, even more so Le’Sinta, Le’Sido, Da’Cons, and Da’Lidas. It was a faint feeling but they could still feel it. It was dark, evil, and mystical, but what could it be, what could give the homins such a strange feeling. They weren’t they only ones to feel this, the karavan and the kami could also feel it and feared it. Questions flowed through their minds like a stream, could it be that its real, is it more then just a tale, if so Jena and Mu-Duk help us all.

Then came a roar that was so icy cold and dark you could swear it could rip your every souls into pieces. The roar could be heard everywhere causing the animals to run for safety. Everyone on atys covered their ears in pain from the sound some even fainted from that’s horrible noise. Following the noise was a strange silence; a silence that the kami and the karavan knew was the beginning of a great evil. They ran to get every single homin in their area and take them to their base or the closest town for safety. As they led the homins to safe places the group on nexus heard two strange sounds. Matis ,fyros, zoria, and tryker homeland music and a mysterious chant. There was also a faint sound of giant wings flapping and then gliding through the air. The karavan shot a single into the air telling the group to come back now. With out any second thought they packed up their stuff and ran straight back to where the karavan and their tents were.

They ran as if a ragus was at their heels, not daring to stop, the dark feeling that they felt was growing stronger and the sky was during an ash black. By the time they got to the camp the tents were already packed and the packer ready, the karavan gave them a signal to follow them. As they ran the karavn told them that a great evil had awakened and they needed to find the Orb of Life before the evil did. They explained that’s the evil takes the form of a dragon a great dragon with the powers that could put every homin in to slavery.”

Jena stopped to wipe a tear from her eye. “Jena what was the great dragon? Le’Sindo asked seeing the tear in her eyes. She then rested her head on her brother’s shoulder for comfort. “The great dragon was the darkness that was trapped away when the vines of atys shot forth. As atys grew the pit that the darkness was in tightened and gave the darkness time for it to shape as a dragon with wings that covered its whole body. When it had enough energy broke free of its cell and escaped. To make sure no other darkness would challenge it the dragon filled in every crack and pit. It had one goal rule atys and everything else. But what made the dragon so evil was what it did; with every flap of it wings a black smoke covered the sky, when it swished its tail a wind billowed in every part of ayts. Finally its most powerful attack a storm of fire, it would blow a wave of fire in every direction which would then form a storm of fire. This is how the great matis kingdom fell.”

She sighed and turned to look at a window, Le’Sinta and Le’Sindo knew she was trying her best to hold back her tears. Something horrible happen there and Jena did what to think about it, but she had too this was the only way to explain their power and the strange attack on the zoria.

“They ran so fast it seemed that they were riding the wind; they had no time to cut or find a path to nexus’s center time was short. The Great Dragon was all ready leaving the jungle and had just entered the desert, but the fyros were ready to find the beast. Cannons, blasters, mages, all their best stood at the portal were the Great Dragon would be flying over. The second they saw the demon they fired every single cannon and blaster at the beast, but to their disbelief the shots when through it as if he was smoke, yet a closer look it absorbed their attack. They shot again and this time the mages sent spells of every type and strength at the beast. The attack hit the beast with a huge blast of light and a cry of pain. Enraged the dragon whipped its tail which sent a wave of wind which sent the fyros back hundreds of meters. The fyros were defeated only two still remained in the light. The other trapped under a wave of darkness and and trapped in a deep sleep till the dragon was defeated or if the dragon called upon them.

The group raced on even tho they could feel the pain of the homins that were attacked. But this only made them run faster; they knew that they were close because a mystical mist was in front of them. The mist several colors swirling with in it and it had a strange aura of purity and elemental magic. It was like water, fire earth, air, and spirit were swirling with the colors. But there was no time to wonder what was making the mist; they just ran through the mist with pain and a fire raging in their hearts. But the matis collapsed with a cry of pain. It was if someone had stabbed them in the heart and twisted the dagger. A karavan scout looked at a hologram map of matis and gasped at what he saw. His hands trembled as if a cold wind had sweeped across them; he soon dropped the horrible image. It showed the capital city of matis alight with black fire, but it was worse the machine showed all the capital cities destroyed. When the homins was the images rage filled their hearts, hands shaking they let out a cry that echoed across the darkening sky. But Le’Sinta, Le’Sindo, Da’Cons, and Da’Lidas had a aura form around them, the outer circle contain symbols that came from the teachings of Jena and Mu-Duk. Then came four inner circles on had the symbols of a race swirling around. The arura shot a beam of light straight into the sky which then formed a dome of a pearly-mist. The tree, plants, and flowers moved to show paths which lead to The Orb of Life’s alter. They found the path a question still ran through their mind “How do we stop the dragon from reaching the alter?”

Once every one was back on their feet they all ran for the alter guardians in the front and the karavan taking up the rear. “Time is short the dragon has hit every capital and will now come for the orb we must destroy the orb at all costs!” The karavan yell over the roars of the dragon. The smell of burning wood and smoke soon filled the air causing the homins to cough horrible. Still the homins ran toward the great alter as if the smoke wasn’t there at all. To there luck a barrier of pure magic had formed around the alter, the homins could breath fresh pure air once again. Once they were a meter or two into the barrier the dirt path turn to a stone path with strange tablets on each side of the path. Time had covered many of the tablets with moss, as they walked pasted the tablets each one light up with a different color. Stranger still each tablet had one of the homins name carved into them.

Le’Sinta ran his hand across the one with his name on it and next to it was a tablet with Le’Sindo name on it. He wondered why their names on these tablets were and why do they glow a warm glow? He would have become lost in wonder but his sister jabbed him in the side, he snapped out of it and ran to catch up with group. Little did they know that when karavan had pasted them they became alight with a gold-blue flame like the lantern used in a wedding.

Only Le’Sindo saw them alight but just like her brother her wonder was stopped when she walk right into Da’Cons. Da’Cons didn’t even look to see what hit him, Da’Cons and every one else were lost in awe at the sight of the alter the was in front of them. The alter was in the shape of a pentagram, at the point of fire stood two huge statures of a male and a female Fyros. The male held a blaster which was pointed toward the sky, the female held a blade. Below the statue was a saying it read, “Fire burns in our souls, we trust everyone but cross us and you shall feel the power of the desert warriors.”

Each point had the same type of statue one male and one female and a saying. To the right the point of earth stood Matis, the upper left the point of wind stood Tyrkers, and the right the point of water stood Zoria. But at the last point, the point of spirit stood a stature of me in a cloak. In the center of the alter stood a giant pearl colored orb with moss covering the top. Everyone ran toward the tablet in front of the orb but the karavan stayed behind to guard the homins till the ritual was complete.

The tablet read “If you are reading this it means the evil that that everyone in our tribe fear is awake and coming for the orb. The orb can’t be destroyed by homin attacks, it gave life to atys till Jena could watch over the planet. Thus the only way to destroy the orb and weaken the evil is to use your life force and the force of homins from the other land to destroy it. But in doing this you shall give up our own life. Everyone looked at each other with firm looks on their faces. Everyone raised their hands and yell “For Jena, for our kin, for Mu-Duk, for the kami, for the karavan, and for Atys!” A fire roared in their heart as they circled the orb. With tears in their eyes they held hands and released their life force into the air. A white mist formed around them and a sense purity and lightness fill their hearts. Tears splashed as they hit the ground but they weren’t tears of pain or sorrow, but tears of joy and happiness because they knew they were saving their kin from be trapped in darkness forever. As the life force energy left them they heard faint “thank you” and “Bless you” on the wind. As if they homins knew what they were doing and thanking them with all their hearts. The group soon was lifted into the air and slowly faded into the dark starry sky. As the final tear hit the ground they nodded to each other, then vanished in a white mist.

Before the karavan could even turn they were gone, the only thing left was a white mist, then the orb started to crack then shattered into a thousand pieces which they turned into a blue mist. The dragon roared in pain just as the karavan dropped their weapons and kneed. Kami from all over atys came to the alter and bowed their heads in respect. As they paided their respects I filled the dragons heart with light destroying the evil once and from all but at a great price.”

Jena still gazed out the window even tho the story was finished. A silence fell over the inn the only sound made was the crackling of the fire and the deep breaths of Jena and Sindo and Sinta. For the first time they saw Jena cry with tears forming around her deep green eyes. Not even the closest karavan officer ever saw Jena cry. The story affected more then Jena it touch Le’Sinta and Le’Sindo
